At the event, volunteers comb the beaches to find, remove and record marine debris, more commonly known as litter. By removing the debris, volunteers are making the beaches and waterways safer and more enjoyable for marine life and beach goers alike. By recording the data, volunteers contribute to a legacy of information on marine debris that has been growing for 37 years! This information is utilized by COA, citizens, businesses, and elected officials to drive legislation and make changes in everyday habits that will stop litter at the source, saving our precious beaches and marine life.Available Shifts
