We are the only licensed Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Butler County, PA and help over 400 animals every year. We are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and need lots of help getting ready for the upcoming wildlife baby season. We need help getting the facility ready for all of the birds that will need our help. Our outdoor aviaries need a good bit of work this spring, the rehab room needs a top to bottom cleaning and our outdoor space needs attention so the native plants will thrive and produce seeds and berries for the birds that we release. Every little bit helps! These dates are flexible - if you don't see something that works for you please let us know, we will work it out. THANK YOU!

Why you will love volunteering with us:- These are super fun and high energy events.
- You get to be with plants and outside!
- We have the happiest customers.
- You'll feel great about your contribution to your local community and the environment.
Garden In A Box is one of Resource Central's water conservation programs. These professionally designed water-wise garden kits are tailor-made for Colorado yards helping residents replace thirsty grass with drought tolerant, pollinator supporting perennial gardens. Gardens are ordered online starting in March and customers pick up their gardens at designated locations between May 4th and June 1st. This is where you come in! We couldn't (and wouldn't want to) do it without you.
Each pickup location/date will have a "prep shift" and an "event shift" with a 60-minute overlap in shifts. During the earlier "prep shifts" we unload delivery trucks and organize gardens to prepare for when customers arrive for the "event shift". During the later "event shifts" we check-in customers, locate order history, then retrieve and load their gardens into their cars. Sign up for our Volunteer interest below.

Are you a fix-it nerd? Do you love to tinker and solve puzzles?United Way of Utah County, in partnership with the Utah Recycle Alliance, is looking for passionate (and patient!) volunteer fix-it coaches to help guide folks in their efforts to save their broken stuff from the landfill. If you know how to replace a broken zipper or fix a wobbly chair leg or get a lawnmower up and running again, we need your expertise!
Since the start of Fix-It Clinics in Utah, in 2017, volunteer coaches have helped put over 500 lbs. of broken goods back to work. In the process, those volunteers have helped ignite curiosity and a sense of empowerment among patrons—whether they be from the older generation that already knows the value of fixing things up or the rising generation eager to learn about engineering, saving money, and reducing environmental impact. Come be a part of this growing repair trend in Utah.
Common repairs we see include:
Electronics: phones, printers, DVD players, computers
Appliances: anything from blow dryers to blenders to boom boxes
Sewing: loose hems, broken zippers, popped seams, holes that need creative visible mending
Carpentry: wobbly chair/table legs are the most common
Bicycles
