Join the school and community members to help beautify the grounds of our school. We have a beautiful school campus that needs help each Spring to maintain its beauty as we do not have enough maintenance staff to manage the large amount of groundskeeping required. It is again time for families and friends of the school community to join together to keep our school looking as good on the outside as it does on the inside.Volunteers are asked to arrive and work from 8:00 am until noon on Saturday, April 18, 2020. There will be drinks and snacks provided by the Frederick County Middle School PTO. Please bring gloves, yard tools like rakes, hoes, forks, wheel barrows, and anything you can use to pull weeds and shovel mulch. If you are skilled with a chain saw there may be opportunities to do some clean up in the school woods if we have enough volunteers and once the rest of the grounds are cleaned up.

The 2021 Spring online auction is an opportunity to connect with members and community with a fun auction of unique items. We need a team of dedicated volunteers to procure items and help with data entry. The auction will be held over a two-week period in April. The volunteers will procure items on their own schedule. They will pick up the items and deliver to the designated location.

Currently, the DHC owns, manages, and stewards a combination of over 3200 acres of conservation land between Spokane and Spokane Valley. These conservation lands permanently protect a vitally important wildlife habitat corridor in the middle of the Spokane area, as well as provide us with recreation opportunities like hiking, biking, & rock climbing. The DHC permanently protects these lands for conservation, education, and recreation for all of Spokane and future generations to enjoy.
