NYenvironcom’s WaterInsight Program aims to efficiently provide basic ambient water quality data on streams and waterbodies in the New York sections of the Delaware watershed, with eventual expansion into the Hudson watershed as well. This initiative is focused on increasing the quantity and quality of water body data available in our areas of coverage, as well as developing new tools for both the public and the nation to restore, protect, and improve our local ecosystems. The WaterInsight program empowers groups and citizens to create and collect data by providing training and how-to guides. Our data collection methods use traditional collection-based water sampling, customized tools developed by NYenvironcom, and data collecting programs such as the Mayfly data logger and monitormywatershed.org network developed by the Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, PA.
