Join us as we Walk to END Epilepsy at the San Antonio Zoo on November 2. Walk to End: Seizures, Depression, and Bullying. Walk to provide essential services to people with epilepsy and their families. The Epilepsy Foundation provides services to no and low-income people with epilepsy and provides support services to families, many of whom pay significant healthcare expenses each year for anti-seizure prescription medications and treatments.

Opportunity Details

The Center currently has one primary Chef who cooks lunch for anywhere from 70-100 people Monday - Friday. We want to have someone who can fill in for her when she is unavailable or on vacation. We are also looking for someone who can cook for our catered events so someone will professional experience in catering and cooking for large numbers of people would be helpful.

The Blue Springs Art League promotes interest in the visual arts in the community in many ways. One example is the hosting of the Annual Fine Art Show, a judged competition showcasing creative original works by local artists, which show is open to the public at no cost. Many of the displayed works are available for purchase and ten percent of the sale price of any work sold goes to the Art League to support its non-profit work. Proceeds from those sales and from sponsor donations are then used for the purchase of public art and the awarding of college scholarships for artistically gifted high school students.

Opportunity Details

The students of Our Lady Victory School put on a magical production each school year. This year the show is Aladdin. We are looking for volunteers to work the concessions for each of the shows. Parents give very generously of their time but during the actual shows, they want to watch their children perform. For this reason, we are looking for volunteers to work concessions. Opportunity Details

This event is designed to expose kids to different forms of art. The program will feature dancers, singers, poets, and motivational speakers. These kids are from a small town that does not offer much in the form of arts. Most kids will likely never experience this type of event because their families can't afford to take them to programs. I want to bring the beauty of arts to them and expose them to various cultures and art forms to expand their mind.
