March for Marrow raises funds for the Patient & Family Services provided by the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation. This includes a contribution to research as well as patient resource staff, printed information, online webinars and patient and family conferences. We are a patient-focused, patient-centered organization, serving patients and families throughout the three phases of bone marrow failure diseases:
• the life-changing phase of diagnosis
• the life-threatening phase of treatment
• the lifelong phase of living with a chronic disease
The AAMDS International Foundation, Inc. serves over 4,000 patients in Texas annually; over 50 cases of bone marrow failure disease are diagnosed each day in the United States.
The 2024 March for Marrow TX, The Woodlands, is schedule for Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Shoreline Village in The Woodlands. March for Marrow will include our 5K Run and one-mile Patient & Family Walk. The purpose of the 5K Run is to attract more healthy, young people to the National Marrow Donor Registry, educate a new public, celebrate our Texas survivors and remember those we have lost.

The Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is Utah’s largest local-centric art, music, science and technology festival. We are celebrating our 16th Anniversary with the biggest fest yet with over 350 local artisans, vintage vendors, foodies, youth entrepreneurs, performers and STEM exhibitors over three days the second weekend of August in 2024 at the Utah State Fairpark!

Each year, the Walk with L'Arche serves as our organization's biggest fundraising event and it largely depends on solidarity and support from community members like you. In its 20th year, our event is proudly presented by Vickar Automotive Group and made possible by the generosity of others. The Diversity Center is a leading advocate for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in Northeast Ohio. When you support our work, you are helping a new generation of students and future leaders embrace their differences and become change agents for inclusion and diversity in our region.

Funds raised from this event help to empower more than 16,000 youth, educators, and youth-serving professionals through our justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion programming. Each year, our combined programs touch more than 16,000 people in 11 counties throughout Northeast Ohio!

Join us for the largest celebration of diversity and inclusion in northeast Ohio. This is a family-friendly event in addition to a professional 5K run/Walk. There will be food, entertainment, and free admission to the Great Lakes Science Center and USS COD Submarine on the day of the event. Registered participants will also receive a discount code for admission to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Semancik Annual Crabfeed is our primary fundraiser for student scholarships. At the event, we enjoy live music, a photo booth, pizza, beer, wine, and, of course, Crab! We raise money through ticket sales, a silent auction at the event, split the pot, and a dessert dash where each table adds cash donations to an envelope to determine the order to select from a number of donated delish desserts. It's a really fun event that has a very positive effect at our local High School. Our goal this year is $30,000 to support college scholarships.

Our VBS is June 10 - 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM - noon. I can use help guiding children from station to station, handing out snacks, doing crafts, bible story reading, singing songs, etc. The week prior I could use help sorting t-shirts, setting up chairs, and tables and hanging decorations.

Opportunity Details

The 26th annual D.A.R.E. Middle School Basketball Classic will involve approx. 400 participants from ABSS middle schools in the area. This is a youth focused event designed to promote student involvement in positive alternative activities as well as show the importance of making safe and responsible decisions. Kohl's volunteers have assisted with this tournament the past few years. They will be engaged in event set up, concessions, ticket sales and other tasks to assist staff. (Kohl's volunteers have been instrumental in helping ensure the tournament has been a success each time they have been involved.)
