Flagstaff Figure Skating Club (FFSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the sport of figure skating. It supports over 60 local figure skaters. These skaters practice year round and participate in competitions throughout the region. Our club proudly contributes to the Flagstaff community by helping our youth build athletic skills, confidence, and a work ethic. We are hosting our annual figure skating competition, Ice in the Pines on August 17th-18th. This two day competition draws in over 170 skaters and their families from across the state and the Southwest region. The money we raise during the competition provides support for the club for the entire year.
This event is put together entirely by volunteers. FFSC is looking for volunteers to help with the event. Your support is an opportunity to share your name with families as an organization that supports the local community. Your business will be included in our competition program as well as being featured on our website for the next year.

Opportunity Details

MBD Annual Trivia Night is an event open to the community to come play and bid on silent auction items that fundraise for students to participate in marching band despite the inability to pay. Many of our students come from low income homes, but our band refuses to turn any student away, so we fundraise to cover the costs of: uniforms, transportation to 4 regional competitions and 2 national competitions, we provide food for every child, along with funding the general costs of rights to music, props for the show and goods and materials to paint and build up our trailers that haul our props to competitions. Our band consists of 150 students from all walks of life and each is given an extraordinary opportunity for growth, leadership and continuing education, including opportunities for scholarships.

Opportunity Details

We are raising funds to helping female patients undergoing cancer treatments, crush their cancer and save their lives. The patients are being treated at the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center (“CTRC”) in San Antonio, TX which was founded in 1974 and is one of three leading academic research and treatment centers designated by the National Cancer Institute and also has a council which is designated as a 501(c)(3) by the IRS.

On November 2, 2019 we will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Fashion show with additional outfits, dresses, shoes, and accessories being sold to raise additional funds. This event will also include cocktails for donation, tables for education, silent auction and a donation station. We are expecting crowds in the hundreds and are in need of a donation from you in order to be successful in raising funds necessary to help these women crush cancer.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with set-up, event operation, clean-up and production staff.

Opportunity Details

Nothing says comfort like a home cooked meal. One of the best ways to support the families staying at the House is by becoming a Dinnertime Hero. Preparing a home cooked meal for our guests after an exhausting day at the hospital or clinic is a welcomed gift that helps provide an atmosphere or comfort for families when they’re far from home. Volunteers sign up to prepare meals 365 days a year at all three of our Houses.

Opportunity Details

Mending Wings Inc has several volunteer groups that meets once per month and go out and volunteer at different nonprofits organizations. The volunteerism can last from 4-6 hours normally on Saturdays. The Gaines Day group of volunteers need your help in spreading the word and planning, managing and executing. Will you join us?
