Join our community of caring serving Ukiah, Redwood Valley, and Willits as our event volunteers on Saturday, July 13th at Barra of Mendocino!

Volunteers are invited to help serve appetizers, dinner, and dessert... and help with set-up and clean-up too! It will be an enjoyable evening at Barra of Mendocino, in Redwood Valley at the Summer Soirée benefitting the Caring Kitchen Project ❤️

Guest Dinner tickets are $65 each - but volunteers will receive the dinner meal too, free of charge!

The cause:
NCOs Caring Kitchen Project in Mendocino County provides nutritious meals delivered to the homes of families struggling with the challenges of cancer. The meals are prepared by volunteer teen chefs-in-training under the guidance of the Caring Kitchen Project’s chef, and draw from primarily plant-based recipes.

The Caring Kitchen Project provides opportunities for youth to develop culinary skills, nutrition knowledge, and job readiness skills under the direction of a chef, and in collaboration with adult volunteer mentors. Cooking and sharing food create and strengthens a sense of community, and the act of preparing and providing food to cancer survivors and their families empowers teen volunteers.

Volunteer Schedule:
3:00pm - 5:30pm Volunteers help Set Up for the event

5:30-6:30pm Guests arrive

6:30 til 9:00ish Volunteers serve, replenish buffet, bus dishes

Opportunity Details

The 7-on-7 Passing Game is a fun competitive, non-contact way to play football. It is all passing, played on a 40-yard field plus end zone, and allows scoring both on the offense and defense. Passing is now the feature offense, and thus defense, of most teams.

Shelbyville Central High School Football is sponsoring a 7-on-7 tournament with 23 area schools. The event is all day and allows the teams to improve their skills and compete.

Opportunity Details

The Secret City is a non-profit arts organization that presents sincere and fabulous community celebrations of everyday creative life. From Thursday July 25th to Sunday July 28th in the town of Woodstock, The Secret City is looking for volunteers to assist with the production of the Secret City Art Revival. This is a weekend festival of site-specific performance, installation, community gathering, parade and artistic tent revival. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of work such as: food preparations, set up and clean up each day, collecting donations, handing out brochures, serving as street guides for the march on Sunday, and much more to help our artists and community come together in a celebratory weekend.

Thursday’s events will begin at 6:30 p.m. , Friday at 5:30 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m, and Sunday at noon, all in the town of Woodstock, NY.

Opportunity Details

We are having a chili dinner and silent auction to raise funds for Pine School located in Holtville, CA. The event will take place at Holt Park in the city of Holtville, CA. We are raising funds for educational trips, school recreational equipment, and special projects around Pine School. It is our goal to bring out the community and help raise the funds to be able to complete the goals of those mentioned for the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you!
