We are looking for volunteers for our annual Harry Potter themed Mystery Dinner Theatre! This is one of two fundraisers that we conduct for our youth community theatre, so volunteer help is greatly needed! We need help at our raffle table, registration table, and/or serving dinner and drinks to the patrons. Dates of the show are 12/7/18, 12/8/18, 1/4/19 and 1/5/19

Opportunity Details

Purse bingo is an annual event and East Columbia Preschool's largest annual fundraiser. It is sold out to 300 guests. The prizes are 20 designer purses in baskets with many other goodies. Funds raised at this event go directly to East Columbia Preschool to provide school supplies, educational opportunities and help keep tuition low to serve our diverse student populations.

This is a event for youth, ages 4-14, to participate in a wrestling tournament. This type of event builds character in our kids. It promotes self-discipline; teamwork; persistence; general health, exercise, & nutrition; fair play; self-motivation; goal setting; leadership skills; and how to apply critical thinking.

Opportunity Details

Volunteers help serve a meal to military veterans, families and supporters, prior to the Albany Veterans' Day Parade on Saturday, November 10th, 2018. This parade is the largest west of the Mississippi. Volunteers needed to serve food, clean and clear tables, and assist as needed with special needs at this Breakfast Event honoring veterans. This event is sponsored by the Albany Optimist Club (Foundation). We are using several 40-year-old cooking grills, and want to replace one or more each year to speed up service and increase capacity. Part of the proceeds help fund other Optimist Club projects, including a Christmas Youth shopping spree and our annual community Youth Appreciation banquet.

Opportunity Details

Each year we have helped to make the holiday’s bright for hundreds of the lowest-income families throughout Greater Boston. Smart from the start invites all of our families and celebrate holiday traditions from around the world such as Three Kings, Chinese New Year, Eid, Christmas and much more. Families will enjoy food, music, holiday games, arts and crafts and fun all around!
