The coordinated permaculture systems at CIRENAS are a vibrant cornerstone of our commitment to living sustainably.

Lands formerly used as cattle pastures have been restored through permaculture design, emulating the cycles and patterns of nature to produce food on-site. As our plants grow and mature, CIRENAS on-site permaculture will harvest 75% of all food consumed by our guests and staff, with surplus redistributed to the local community.

Opportunity Details

The Viking Classic is on October 27, 2018. This is an all day marching band competition that Union Pines Band hosts as a fundraiser. This year we will have 25 bands competing and we need lots of volunteers to make the event a success. We need help in concessions, cook tent, funnel cakes, selling programs, holding "quiet" signs, and assisting with booths.

Supper with Santa is an annual fundraising event for the Shawnee Family YMCA. All funds raised at this event will be used directly for our Financial Assistance program to help those who may not have the financial means to be able to utilize the YMCA.
