This is a Halloween themed pet walk to raise funds for shelter animals at Upland Animal Shelter. The event date is Saturday, October 27, 2018. The event time is 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event location is McCarthy Park at 2000 N. San Antonio Ave. in Upland. We are asking for volunteers to come as early as 9:00 AM to help with set up. Once the event starts we need volunteers to help at the registration/courtesy booth, the raffle booth, the kids activity area, the food service area and during the pet walk. Once the event is over, we need help with tear down and clean up. We are asking everybody to register at: www.wizathon.com/monster-mash-pet-dash to start their fundraising efforts. Teams can also be created. For volunteers that want to also bring their pets to walk, they must register. The registration fee is $20, but if you can fundraise that amount, you don't need to pay. We also have the ability for people to register as a "virtual walker" if they are unable to attend but still want to help fundraise.Available Shifts

The Plainfield Band Boosters organization will host its 20th annual fall craft show on October 27 and 28, 2017 at Plainfield High School – Central Campus, 24120 West Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield.All proceeds from the craft show (admission, concessions, raffle and bake sale) will support the band programs at Plainfield High School-Central Campus, and Plainfield East, North and South high schools.
The show, featuring about 150 spaces of beautiful crafts and gifts will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 27; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2017.

Outreach - October 6th 10am - 2pmThere are 7 Neighborhood Impact Houses in Lancaster, CA.
Crosswind Community Church runs the Lowtree House in West Lancaster.
This year for Neighborhood Impact Day, we will be getting together with all other 6 Community Houses to serve our Kingtree House and Mariposa House Neighborhoods.
We will have teams that walk around the neighborhoods and pick up trash.
Teams to mow lawns, pull weeds, and haul away trash.
We will also have teams to help prepare, distribute, and serve Hot Dogs for anybody in the neighborhood and a team to help with the Children's Clothes Sale, where everything is a quarter.
The goal is to spruce up the neighborhood, be a friendly face, offer assistance to anybody in the neighborhood that needs it for their lawn maintenance, and offer affordable clothes for children.
