Safetyville will need volunteers in our food court, carnival games and work registration area. To bring awareness and raise funds for a brain disorder that affect Infants to Adults called Chiari Malformation. Five years ago my God sister asked me to start this walk in NY because she not only suffers from chiari, she had the brain surgery 7 yrs ago. I met so many families and people who share heartfelt stories of numbness, migrains and other issues caused by chiari. Recently, I discovered my niece also suffers from chiari. I do it because I care and want to make a difference to reaching all who identifies with chiari. Yes, we have chiarians who have received their eternal wings at a young or mature age. Join us and experience the day.

The organization will host 6-8 youth football games on Saturday September 22, 2018 at Newton Conover High School. Hosting a game day provides the organization the opportunity to raise money to be able to continue supporting the children in the community that want to play football/cheer.

Help us in our Concession Booth!
On Saturday, October 13, The Sharks football team will host the Northland Chiefs for Homecoming. This event is our banner event, where we celebrate all Sharks past and present. This day will include team parades, kids play areas, raffles, food trucks, mums for moms and special presentations of players / families. We anticipate a larger than normal crowd as our opponent is from nearby. We could use help in our concession booth! Our concessions provide a good source of income for our program!

Homecoming will be held at Liberty North High School football field. We will have six games taking place between 8am-5pm. The concession booth is outdoors but will be under tents. We need volunteer help during the lunch rush (11am-4pm), when our older tackle football teams play. This entails grilling hamburgers and/or selling candy, food and drinks. Our typical volunteers consist of player parents, who will be nearby to provide guidance, training, help (if needed). It is a fun job, as the customers are typically hungry kids!

The Sharks Youth Athletic Organization is 100% volunteer based. We rely on our player parents to run our day to day events (coaching, equipment maintenance, field prep, concessions, fundraising, etc.). We are requesting help for this particular event because Homecoming is our big family celebration and we would love for our families to be able to participate in the festivities and make memories with their little football players, rather than having to spend their time in the concession stand.
