Help us in our Concession Booth! On Saturday, October 13, The Sharks football team will host the Northland Chiefs for Homecoming. This event is our banner event, where we celebrate all Sharks past and present. This day will include team parades, kids play areas, raffles, food trucks, mums for moms and special presentations of players / families. We anticipate a larger than normal crowd as our opponent is from nearby. We could use help in our concession booth! Our concessions provide a good source of income for our program!
Homecoming will be held at Liberty North High School football field. We will have six games taking place between 8am-5pm. The concession booth is outdoors but will be under tents. We need volunteer help during the lunch rush (11am-4pm), when our older tackle football teams play. This entails grilling hamburgers and/or selling candy, food and drinks. Our typical volunteers consist of player parents, who will be nearby to provide guidance, training, help (if needed). It is a fun job, as the customers are typically hungry kids!
The Sharks Youth Athletic Organization is 100% volunteer based. We rely on our player parents to run our day to day events (coaching, equipment maintenance, field prep, concessions, fundraising, etc.). We are requesting help for this particular event because Homecoming is our big family celebration and we would love for our families to be able to participate in the festivities and make memories with their little football players, rather than having to spend their time in the concession stand. We hope you will join us for this fun event! Thank you for your consideration!
