Battle Grove Elementary School Bag Bingo is like regular bingo except that the prizes are all themed bags. The bags are filled with products such as gift certificates, product donations, passes or vouchers from sponsors, gift items, food items, etc. Each filled bag can be worth several hundred dollars based on the donations received. All of the bags will have “themes” however we will not have competing items or vendor donations in one bag. We expect 200 attendees at the event and our fundraising goal for the event is $10,000. Our school is a Title 1 School in a low income community. For this reason the school depends on PTA support for sponsorship of programs such as: alumni scholarships, field trips, teacher supply reimbursement, adopt a family drive, school supplies, after school programs, 5th grade graduation ceremony with celebration and much more! We hope to raise money from the raffles at this event for the above activities and more that would benefit Battle Grove Elementary School.
We will need help setting up for the Battle Grove PTA Bag Bingo, help during the event and help breaking down after.

Our spring fundraiser is our Bingo Bonanza, to be held at C. Milton Wright High School on March 16, 2018. We expect that this will be a sell-out event, bringing in members of not only the Prospect Mill school family, but the entire community as well. All funds raised at this event will be used by the PTA to help fund current and future projects that directly benefit the students at Prospect Mill.

Each year, on the first Saturday in May, Operation Northern Comfort holds its Crawfish Festival. This year will make the 12th annual Festival. The festival is non profit and all the money from the festival goes towards our budget to help serve our community. Whether it be to build a house, feed the homeless or providing labor, donations, and support in any time of need. The festival features Cajun food, including Crawfish (we sold 3500 pounds last year), shrimp, jambalaya, gumbo, red beans & rice, Crawfish bread and Beignets. Hot dogs, Salt Potatoes, Clams and Pulled Pork are also available, as are a variety of other festival fare.

Volunteers would be responsible to prepare or serve food, or otherwise work in one of a variety of booths. We ask that you bring a hat to wear and we will have gloves provided to you. Parking is available around Clinton Square.
