A beloved annual tradition and the largest arts festival in Red Hook, Red Hook Fest is a vibrant community gathering that features vital resources, family-friendly activities, and free food.We welcome volunteers to help distribute food, information, and t-shirts; create and manage interactive activities; promote the festival; and support festival staff and crew.

This volunteer opportunity is to help the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home (ACCH). ACCH is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 ministry dedicated to providing the very best physical, psychological, and spiritual care to school aged children who have been abused, neglected, or are in need of supervision. The volunteer opportunity is our annual Pancake Breakfast, which is a fun breakfast open to the community that helps ACCH raise the funds necessary to keep our doors open to be able to serve more children. Volunteers will be asked to help us serve guests by cleaning tables, serving food, or helping with parking.Available Shifts

Work alongside our friendly dedicated staff managing food in and out of the warehouse every day - loading vans, taking in deliveries, sorting the recycling, packing bags for delivery to members. The work is physical but enormously satisfying!
Opportunity Details
We are looking for volunteers to perform various tasks listed below. Volunteers must have a valid Drivers License and own transportation with enough room to transport the food/bakery item donations. The volunteering opportunity requires driving, standing for long hours, picking and handling heavy donation boxes. The volunteer must follow current Covid-19 CDC and local building site guidelines.The major volunteer duties for each task is listed below;
Task #1. Drive, wait and pick up food bakery item donations at Ephrata, PA. The current assigned pick-up Is on Thursday's at 8:45PM. Other pick-up days maybe assigned. Aside from commute, time spent at bakery for waiting, packing and loading will be 30 to 45 minutes.
Task #2. Deliver the food bakery items collected for packaging and distribution at downtown Lancaster, PA on Friday's afternoon at 1PM. Aside from commute and finding parking in downtown, the unloading and delivery will take about 30 to 45 minutes.
Task #3. Participate in individual bakery items packaging and distribution to in need population. This activity will require up to an hour and half.

Opportunity Details
On average, we serve over 100 breakfast meals each day Monday through Friday from 8-10 am. That’s about 2,000 meals a month. We warmly welcome volunteers from Ballard and beyond who would like to contribute to this service to our homeless neighbors. No special skills are needed to volunteer. We can almost always find a job for volunteers ages 3 - 93. Do wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes that are weather appropriate as we are currently serving the meals to-go in our outdoor courtyard.

Dancing for Downs is a fun family event that includes dancing, face painting, balloon animals, spin art, photo booth, kids store, silent auction, food and beverages. This is the only fundraiser DSA-NCI does each year. We use funds to support individuals and families impacted with Down Syndrome.
