The annual Gala is historically Rainbow Cafe's largest source of income. Funding for the year goes towards programming for the LGBTQ community in Southern Illinois. Rainbow Cafe is hoping to expand its services in the near future.

Opportunity Details

Our Annual Event allows up the Opportunity to raise needed funds to assist those in the Capital District with their out of pocket expenses due to cancer.

Some of the Highlights of the Day include:

The Mother Teresa Cancer Awareness Fund is a 501c3 Non-profit Organization assisting those with cancer in the Capital District with expenses related to their treatment.

Opportunity Details

To raise money for our Children's Ministry at Horizon Churchm Hkidz. I'm the Children's Director and this event was very successful last year! Your volunteers will absolutely have a blast. We feature two comedians, serve dinner and have lattes of various flavors. I would need help with serving food, drinks, setting up and tearing down. I like to find outside of church volunteers as this helps with allowing the members to enjoy the event instead of working it all of the time. Thank you so much! This is not public yet for sign ups, I just wanted to get a head start on volunteers. We will post in October.

Opportunity Details

Requesting volunteers to help with our 50th Anniversary Concert preparation including setting up lobby, helping with decorations, and possibly setting up concession sales. Lots of small things that make a big difference.
Setup will happen Friday evening Sept 27th and whatever remaining on Saturday Sept 28th (exact time TBD). Tear down and packing on Sunday Sept 29th at 4:30pm.

The Eagle Auction is an annual silent and live auction held at Immanuel Lutheran Church & School that serves as our primary fundraiser. The funds raised will be used for security upgrades, including a new gate and outdoor surveillance cameras. Additional funds raised will be used to fulfill wish list items for our exceptional teachers.
