The goal of our event is to raise awareness for Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), the number one birth defect in the world, affecting 1 out of every 100 babies born. This year’s walk will take place on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Endicott Park in Danvers, MA. This 1 or 2 mile or 5K non-competitive Walk will take us VIRTUALLY through beautiful Endicott Park and Glen Magna Farms and end with a FREE family fun picnic; a raffle, food, and activities for kids of all ages. This is our way to celebrate families who fundraise for us at the walk and all year long and have fun while doing it!

Opportunity Details

We will gather at Ruth's Gleanings/Foodshare - Spartanburg SC 29303 on Wednesday April 8, 2020. The time is in 3 hour shifts, either from 12 -3 pm or 3- 6 pm. We are seeking 6 volunteers to help us hand-out produce boxes that were packed earlier. We feel strongly that fresh affordable produce should be available to everyone. The boxes will be distributed to SNAP recipients and others who have placed an order. The boxes contain about 10 to 12 fresh fruits and vegetables and are distributed every two weeks. This role helps us accomplish our goal of providing fresh produce to everyone at a reduced cost. Clothes are relaxed for the day. Only basic skills are needed. You will have to check off a persons name off a list and possibly assist boxes being placed in someone's car if they have difficulties. This service is important because it assures us that someone is going to benefit from healthy eating.

Opportunity Details

Dr. Joe Palmer was a friend and supporter of the YMCA. When he was alive, he would anonymously donate money to help our youth fund. In his honor, we are holding a fundraiser to support underprivileged youth in our community. With this fund, local youth will be able to gain access to the YMCA and its numerous sport and child care programs.

Opportunity Details

The Night of the Arts at our STEAM focused elementary school is a showcase of various artistic abilities and an opportunity for families to come participate in mini-lessons and activities located throughout the school. We have approximately 455 K-5 students with approximately 350 families. This is a well populated event. Volunteers are needed to help pass out a snack (popcorn or pretzels) and manage drinks.

Opportunity Details

We recruit volunteers to work inside our concession stand. All profits of this go toward paying the electric bill and other maintenance throughout the park. With this it is important that we keep the concession stand staffed. Most nights are staffed by our parents and other community volunteers. We appreciate all your help!

Opportunity Details

We are seeking volunteers for our May 2nd, 2020 Carnitas and Margaritas Feed fundraising event. It is our flagship fundraiser for our club and each year we raie over $18,000 for the kids in our community. This year we are in a larger event space and need even more help. Our fundraiser helps fund programs like service leadership programs, literacy programs, homeless and foster youth programs, stockings and cards for chemo patients, and so much more!

Opportunity Details

The Sedalia School District Foundation raises funds to support students in the Sedalia School District. We administrate a scholarship program, give mini grants to teachers for classroom projects, create relationships with alumni and businesses that benefit the school district, and multiple other programs. For the Spring 2020 fundraiser we are hosting the Dairyland Donkey Basketball tournament. Players try to make baskets like a regular basketball game while riding a donkey. It's crazy, funny entertainment for kids and adults. Volunteers will be needed in from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 2020, to set up, work concessions, clean up, etc.
