Did you know that there are thousands of foods and herbs that can impact our mental health in positive ways? CrowdDoing is a global virtual collaboration to research medicinal foods for stress, sleep and anxiety. Our project has the goal of advancing integration across fields of research and to build medicinal foods literacies in the population. We're recruiting virtual volunteer service learning project managers.
This role is for Medicinal Foods, Medicinal Foods Service Learning Micro-Leadership Project Management. CrowdDoing aims to make each role flexible, allowing you to become engaged according to your own schedule. We are looking for a Training Specialist to enhance the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training that will boost employees workplace performance in alliance with company’s core values. You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.
Medicinal Foods, Volunteer Training Specialist Responsibilities
Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
Translate requirements into trainings that will groom employees for the next step of their career path
Build annual training program and prepare teaching plans
Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
Deliver training courses
Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees work behavior
Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes
Medicinal Foods, Volunteer Training Specialist Requirements
Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
Proven ability to master the full training cycle
Adequate knowledge of learning management software
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI
Sound decision making and organisational skills
Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field

Spaghetti for a Pawse is our annual family fun event at the Warren Fraternal Order of Police Hall to raise funds to supply our K9 friends with bullet proof vests and other essential equipment! Entertainment provided by our friendly K9s. Ticket includes spaghetti, salad, bread, and soft drinks.Volunteers are needed to help set-up, serve and prepare food and beverage items during the event along with take down at the end.
This event is a great opportunity to bring the local community together to support their local Police K9 Officers and Law Enforcement.

Event Description:Volunteering to serve a meal at a shelter is a popular way to help. Meal service is open to both individuals and groups. Volunteer shifts are 11:30am to 1:30pm 7-days a week and can accommodate volunteers who want to serve on a regular basis and those who want to volunteer occasionally. Meal Service Volunteers will help with final meal preparation tasks under the supervision of chef/kitchen staff. For example: stirring food, tossing salad, slicing bread, plating food. Meal servers will then distribute plated food to shelter guests, prepare ‘late plates’, pour beverages, clear & wipe tables, clean up spills, etc. Volunteers need to be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time, use of hands and arms for stirring, slicing, lifting and pouring.
•Volunteers at Boccardo Reception Center (San Jose Shelter) must be at least 18 years old.
•Regular Shelter Volunteers (those who volunteer 8 or more hours per year in the shelter) must have TB test on file

DePaolo PTO, along with the 8th grade committee, plan all year for the Class Night event in June. The 8th graders work the event, along with parent & community volunteers. Our goal is to earn $2000 to help fund the events activities, such as a photo booth, karaoke, dinner & dessert.
