Volunteers are requested by the Foundation Fighting Blindness to assist with event operations at our 12th Annual Baltimore VisionWalk this spring. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to help people of all ages and participate in a day of celebration for the visually impaired community! Volunteers will be asked to perform various tasks including: equipment set-up/breakdown, registering participants, distributing food and event giveaways, assisting children's performers, cheering on/guiding participants along the route, etc. Won't you come join us?

Every year the Mountain View Elementary PTA puts on a Spring Carnival for students and their families. This event is full of carnival style games and prizes, fun activities, a moon bounce, dj, and concessions. A lot of helping hands are needed to make this great family event a success!

Opportunity Details

We cook a huge, homemade breakfast for our senior students annually. It is a big deal to the kids, but requires a lot of work.

Volunteers will take the cooked food from the home ec room to the student commons area, set-up, and serve the seniors as they come through. Once the breakfast is over assistance cleaning up the area would be greatly appreciated.

This activity is an award banquet for our senior class and their parents. It is important to recognize the achievements our students have made and to share them with all in attendance.

Opportunity Details

This is a series of 3 live theater performances at the Rhode Theater. You can volunteer for any or all of the performances. We will need help with concessions (this may include serving liquor to patrons), working in the ticket box office, or ushering/handing out programs and/or taking tickets from patrons. Volunteers will be allowed to see the show at no cost when they finish with the tasks they are doing.

Opportunity Details

This is the primary fundraiser for the Sunbeam Foundation, which works to find a cure for pediatric bone cancers, mainly by funding research in the field. We have this event each year and aim to raise $30,000-$50,000 to meet our annual funding goals. This is a small organization made up of the family and friends of my daughter, Sara LaBoskey, who died of Ewing's Sarcoma in 2002. It is an all volunteer organization and all funds go to the cause. The event informs our guests about the progress of our work and entertains/thanks them with with food and entertainment.

Destined for Greatness Outreach Youth Center will be hosting it's quarterly "Feed the Homeless" outreach event on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 from 9am-1pm. The goal of our event is to feed and clothe 200 homeless families in the Downtown Area of Atlanta, GA.

Our goal is to have cases of water, toiletry items, clothes, hot meals, and love on our homeless families.
