Have fun while making an impact! Volunteers are needed to support the Hello, My Name is KING Father's Day Event.

Each year we partner with businesses and organizations to bring together families and spread awareness on Father’s Day while celebrating dad. While we recognize that many youths are privileged to have someone in their life who supports them, there are just as many children who do not have a male role model.

With that, HMNK invites fathers, stepfathers, mothers, mentors, and all blended families to attend this year’s Annual Father’s, Family, and Friends Cookout. This all-inclusive event brings together families, and organizations while providing participating males information on local opportunities to mentor youth.

In order to ensure this event goes off without a hitch, we need volunteers like you to make it happen. Opportunities to participate are below:

Registration Table: Collect donations, verify sign-ups, register attendees, direct and inform guest.

Food & Drink Table: Oversee food table, ensure everything remains stocked and guest have a great experience.

Event Set-Up/Breakdown: Support setting and/or breaking down the venue space, including tables, chairs, decorations, etc.

The goal of this event is for the House of Hope to provide volunteers at a dance recital featuring 125 kids in our local community. The event is also hosted by the organization that allows us to rent out their facilities for our weekly services. By volunteering at their event, via helping at concession stands, ushering, clean up and break down, our church will be supporting over 125 children in the art of dance and dance education. This is a very important activity for us for several reasons: First, we will be able to engage and interact with our local community residents; Second, some of kids participating in the dance recital attend our church; and finally, such participation will be an opportunity to give back.
