Opportunity Details

We host the oldest softball tournament in Wisconsin to raise funds for the youth of Racine counties. Our funds are given to individuals and/or teams to assist with their financial needs. We want every child to have a chance to play sports. In return we ask the children and coaches to volunteer for a community event as a way of giving back and understanding of how to be a role model on and off the fields and courts. All sports and children are welcomed.

Opportunity Details

We will be helping host an event at Newby's Too in Panama City. It's called DIsh the Fish Seafood Cook Off. All proceeds go are split between Heartland, our organization, and Beach Care Services. It's from 11 AM to 4 (ish). There will also be a silent auction, raffle drawings, and a 50/50 raffle. There will be a Seafood Tasting from local restaurants and chefs, as well as Fresh Fish Fry plates including Pineapple Willy's Coleslaw and Hush Puppies. The fish is freshly caught by local fishermen. We need help setting up and organizing the event!

The First Tee is an organization dedicated to teaching young people core values and life skills through an introduction to the game of golf. Studebaker Golf Course, in South Bend, has been the launching pad for thousands of young golfers for decades. As a fundraising effort to help revitalize Studebaker as the hub of junior golf in the South Bend/Michiana area, a 'reunion' golf outing with adults who learned to play the game at the course, is being held.

Opportunity Details

VisionWalk is a FUN fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, a 501C3 tax-exempt organization. Over 10 million Americans are affected by blinding retinal diseases including macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome. The Foundation Fighting Blindness is working to find treatments and cures for these devastating diseases.

We are looking for volunteers to help with everything that will help make walk day a success! From setting up the event early in the morning, to staffing our tents (Registration, T-shirts, Refreshments, Resources), to helping with kid's activities, greeting walkers, staffing the walk route, and helping us clean up afterward. They are all pretty easy assignments.

We will be selling hotdogs, hamburgers and homemade treats in front of Sams Club to help raise money for care packages for our military and veterans! Our goal is $700.00. This fundraiser is important to our Chapter by helping to raise money towards mailing costs. One care package is between $16.00-$22.00. We send approximately 80-100 per year!
