Opportunity Details

We are seeking 10-12 volunteers split into two shifts, 5-6 volunteers from 3pm till 6pm and 5-6 volunteers from 6pm till 9pm please, to assist with directing flow of on foot traffic ( guiding guests in a simple line order from one vendor tent to the next): Handing out flyers/brochures, candy and or gift bags. We may also need assistance with serving food. Henry County Fire & Police Departments along with the Mayor will be present. We ask all participants to wear slip resistant footwear along with your Kohl's Care shirts. Play Hard Elite will also provide volunteer tags to be worn during event. The donation will be applied towards the purchasing of food items for our local veterans food pantry located at the square.

The 17th Annual Housing Matters Gala is a donor appreciation event. We come together to celebrate the generosity of our community at holiday time, to say thank you in person to local families and businesses who have supported the mission of our organization. Housing Matters partners with individuals and families to create pathways out of their homelessness into permanent housing. Our donors helped 296 adults and kids in Santa Cruz County to resolves their homelessness in 2018! We are looking for volunteers to help with food and beverage service, as well as setup and breakdown of this event.

As a diversified Minority organization, we feel it is our responsibility to serve the public through our positive community service outreach programs and workshops. Each year, D.A.L.L.E organizes an annual Beef and Beer fundraiser to raise funding to cover the costs associated with community outreach programs. Funding for the organization also comes from member dues as well as donations from organizations and citizens in our communities.

Having a night off from cooking is a huge relief for the 73 families who stay at Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon each night. It’s more than just a meal, you help create a feeling of home – a priceless feeling for our families who are far from the comfort of their own homes. This is a great opportunity to come together as a group of friends, colleagues or family members to cook a healthy, nutritious and delicious meal for our families here at the house.

Our kitchens can accommodate up to 10 volunteers. All volunteers must be over the age of 16. If teens will be accompanying your group, please ensure that there is at least 1 adult for every group member under 19.
