As in past years, our goals for this camp are to promote good sportsmanship, moral character, and the value of teamwork, as well as the importance of scholarship and academic achievement. ASAP Performance’s mission is to build positive sportsmanship and to enhance athletic ability amongst inner city student-athletes in the Central Savannah River Area through not only this annual skills camp but other programs and events. Our camp has proven itself to be an event that the community looks forward to, takes pride in, and holds in high regard. This event is free to the community. The first year we serviced 187 youth, second year 234, third year 252, and forth year 275. We credit the willingness of our volunteers who freely commit their time and energy to serve as both coaches and positive role models for all youth who may be interested. With your support, we intend to reach more youth and present our best camp yet!

A food packaging event is a cooperative effort between Impact with Hope Manna, Meals That Matter and a sponsor which produces dried none perishable meals to be distributed to starving people locally as well as internationally. This is accomplished by using volunteers and our students to convert bulk foods into packages of six meals each. We pack them into boxes suitable for shipping anywhere in the world.
We are planning to have our 6th grade students participate in a service learning project. We are working with Kids Against Hunger to package meals for those who are hungry in the U.S. and around the world. The meals cost $0.30 each and our goal is to package at least 20,000 meals. We have raised over 6,000 dollars to achieve this goal. We would like volunteers to help our 6th grades package these meals.

This event takes place May 31st from about 9 to noon. To pack about 20,000 meals it will take about 1 hour of work and 10 stations.
