The flea market event at Elgin High School is quite spectacular with over 200 booths and 2000+ visitors during this one day shopping extravaganza. Profits from this event are given to various student groups, teacher grants, homecoming week, two vocational scholarships for graduating seniors, and many other school projects throughout the school year.

Fundraising for GEF, showcasing the grants and entertaining the ticket holders with GHS musical talents.The Grandville Education Foundation (GEF) is a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance and enrich educational opportunities within the Grandville Public Schools through direct financial support received from the community at large.

GEF is helping to provide Aha! moments to students in Grandville Public Schools. The foundation has provided grants throughout the district totaling over a half a million dollars since 1991. We fund a variety of creative and innovative educational programs that are outside the traditional school budget.

Project Description
The Mary C House Party is an annual event in its second year. This exciting event is an open house that is fun for the entire family and it features a variety of activities including: A Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament, karaoke, DJ’s, art shows, culinary events, and more. It is also an opportunity to invite the public to become Members of The Mary C. Volunteers are needed to help sell tickets, greet guests, and encourage engagement in the many activities that are offered.

Opportunity Details

The March Mad Dash is a 5K, 5 Mile and 10 Mile running race/fun walk on Saturday, March 9 at the North Park Boat House and lake area in Allison Park, PA (a northern suburb of Pittsburgh). Proceeds from this event support teens helping others through service projects on a local and national level. Middle school youth volunteer during the summer with The Pittsburgh Project, completing home repairs for those in need. Senior high teens are often found repairing damages from natural disasters in places such as Louisiana, New Jersey and Colorado. We will also have a team of students serving in Haiti this summer. Adult mentors guide students in becoming mature adults with a heart for service as they teach practical repair and building skills.
