We are hosting a steak fry in an effort to raise money for our summer camp programs. Due to a significant reduction in grant funding, we are trying to not only offset costs but also improve our current program. Children in grades K- 5 can attend our Camp "Y" Adventures and grades 6-8 can attend our Y-4-Life program. The Y-4-Life program is our main focus as there are not many summer camps in the Ohio Valley for this age group. Kids in this program volunteer for various community projects and get rewarded with field trips throughout the summer. Programs like these help support the YMCA's values by

Opportunity Details

The organizers of the Shaw Charity Classic have offered us a concession stand where we will be cooking, selling and serving food and beverages to the visitors. This will help us raise funds for our environmental education programs as we will receive 10% of the net sales earned at the concession plus tips. We are looking for volunteers that can help us run the concession stand. Please note volunteers for this event must be 18 years of age and up.

Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop event designed to provide housing, services, and hospitality in a convenient forum directly to people experiencing homelessness.
Every January, the Kings/Tulare Homeless Alliance hosts four simultaneous Project Homeless Connect (PHC) events in Hanford, Porterville, Tulare and Visalia. The event connects those who are homeless or near homeless with a wide variety of immediate, on-site services and support for unmet needs. Some of the services include: veterinary care, employment, medical, dental, eye care, family support services, child care, domestic violence, HIV testing, DMV IDs, legal, housing, veterans, lunches, behavioral health, substance abuse services, and much more.
This fundraising Event is important to help with some of the funding need to put on the event and to provide the services listed above.

This is the main annual fundraiser for Believing Beyond - The Nolan Weber Foundation. At Believing Beyond, the goal is to improve the lives of families with children facing catastrophic or terminal illness such as cancer. The foundation has been able to provide grants for these families to help with the financial burden that these illnesses bring (assisting with day to day expenses, such as utilities, groceries, rent/mortgage, travel etc.).
