This fundraiser is important to the agency in order to fund the services not funded through county, state, or federal agencies. Many of the services provide direct services to individuals with intellectual disabilities that would not other wise be eligible to participate. For some, these types of programs may be their only social interactions and provide opportunities for them to learn social and life skills. We are hosting our 2nd annual community color run to benefit Ella Canavan Elementary PTO. We are a non profit who raises money to provide grants to our teachers, scholarships to our students, fund assemblies and other projects for our 400 students in Medina, OH. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the event, pass out bottles of water, set up, breakdown, with registration all on the day of the event. We had so much fun last year!

Opportunity Details

We are holding a 5K race to raise money to provide summer camp and other activities for children with cancer. When a child is diagnosed with cancer they are often stripped of their childhood and thrust into an adult world of hospitals, pain and isolation. Camp Quality Louisiana gives kids with cancer an opportunity to be kids again.

CAN partners with children, youth, and families from under-resourced Washtenaw County neighborhoods to offer programs that educate youth, stabilize families, and build community.

Food Distribution Volunteers unload the Food Gatherers truck and organize the food on tables, help families bring their food to their vehicles, and clean the community center after the distribution.

Since 1988, Banner Olive Branch Senior Center has been providing services to our community to help participants remain healthy, active and independent. The Center’s humble beginnings started with a food program in a local church, paying $1 annually in rent, with one loaned vehicle to deliver food. Today, Banner Olive Branch Senior Center has a fleet of 13 vehicles including 2 buses, and offers 25 programs and services.

The Banner Olive Branch Senior Center offers a variety of social and educational activities as well as delicious and nutritious meals cooked in our kitchen.

Up to 12 volunteers are needed daily for lunchtime meal service for local senior citizens, including set-up, serving of meals and clean-up.

Opportunity Details

Miles for CF hosts the Big Peach Sizzler 10K and 5K each year on Labor Day morning (9.2.19). We count on race morning volunteers to help make it a smooth event. We need race day registration desk, bib pick-up, course marshals, water station volunteers. Event starts at Chamblee MARTA station, ends at One Buckhead Circle, Atlanta.
