The 26th annual D.A.R.E. Middle School Basketball Classic will involve approx. 400 participants from ABSS middle schools in the area. This is a youth focused event designed to promote student involvement in positive alternative activities as well as show the importance of making safe and responsible decisions. Kohl's volunteers have assisted with this tournament the past few years. They will be engaged in event set up, concessions, ticket sales and other tasks to assist staff. (Kohl's volunteers have been instrumental in helping ensure the tournament has been a success each time they have been involved.)

On April 27th, 2024, Tiana's Tea Inc will hold a community outreach event in East Cleveland. The objective of the event is to assist with the current efforts to rebuild, restore and reunite the city, by focusing on the Educational, Economic and Housing disparities. The community outreach will be from 10am to 2pm.

The event will consist of various vendors, organizations, companies, etc. that can offer services to residents within the city. Job and career resources, medical/health services, schools offering GED programs, trade skills, banks and loan officers to help with loan and mortgage refinancing and foreclosure alternatives are just a few of the services provided during the event.


Volunteers will help in the event doing task such as: booth management, attendant, guest registration, crowd control.

Grown Up Play Date at the Akron Children's Museum is our largest annual fundraiser. Volunteers are needed March 3rd to assist with clean up from the event. You'll be tasked with helping to put our museum back together! If you like organizing, cleaning, or tidying up, this volunteer task is perfect for you.

Together, we become a powerful force. Each year, thousands of people across the country join the Walk MS volunteer team. From helping with set up to cheering on the participants at the start/finish line, volunteers make Walk MS happen and are the foundation of our fundraising events! The Volunteer Opportunities include:

Spirit Team: Standing at the finish line to cheer on participants, using noise makers, handing out medals/mementos, often these volunteers are asked to bring encouraging signs (either pre-prepared or from home) or cheering swag (available at volunteer tent)

Site Set-Up Team: Unloading trucks and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs)

Site Tear Down Team: Cleaning up the event site, taking down decorations, signage and banners, breaking down tents, tables, and chairs, organizing and loading supplies on trucks (heavy lifting required ≤50lbs) Thank you for your consideration in volunteering to help end MS forever.

We are hosting our 3rd annual Beer and Wine tasting event at Eagle Point Lodge in Clinton on Thursday May 9, 2024. In addition to complimentary wine and beer and a buffet meal we will have a silent auction and a dessert auction. Proceeds will benefit our Operating room expansion.
