Hello! So we would love your help! The Pizza Ranch is hosting a fundraiser for our charity on April 24th. How this works is that from 5-9pm we are responsible for providing people to bus the tables in the restaurant. In return, whoever comes in to eat for our cause and tells the cashier they are there for us, 20% of their meal ticket gets donated to us. What we need help with from you is providing up to 10 people to help wait and bus tables during the 4 hour window. The ministry you are helping support is a house that is opening as a residential treatment program for women who are coming out of addiction, called Jeremiah Discipleship Home. Primarily we are going to be helping women, who have had their children taken because of their addiction, get healthy so they can get custody of their kids back. They will get a renter's referral from us after 6 months of paying rent and we will also be helping them with various other goals, both practical and spiritual.
The money from this fundraiser will go into the final construction costs for the house. This house has been completely remodeled so the women have a nice place to live. The final construction phases are painting the inside, laying flooring, appliances, cabinets, decks on the front and back, etc..
Please volunteer, it is actually a lot of fun. I have done one of these fundraisers at the Pizza Ranch before. It is a good time! Plus, there is pizza! Lol! I really appreciate your consideration in helping us reach our goal. Thank you!!!

Ninja Warrior, join us at our event. Challenge yourself on his specially-designed Ninja course, including a warped wall, and watch James and local Mascots compete!

The Duck-A-Thon™ fundraiser began in 1992 as a rubber duck race from the Huntington Beach Pier back to shore with ducks racing to win prizes for their owners. Thanks to a creative and dedicated group of volunteers, it has evolved into a weekend long festival which (literally) turns the surf yellow every May. The event draws thousands of locals and visitors, and has raised more than $3 million to care for families in need.
Proceeds from the Duck-A-Thon support services provided by AltaMed’s Huntington Beach Community Clinic (HBCC), a non-profit 501(c)(3). Founded in 1969, HBCC serves as a critical component of Orange County’s healthcare safety net system, providing over 53,000 patient visits annually. HBCC is a division of AltaMed Health Services, the largest community health center in California. AltaMed currently sees over 300,000 patients with over one million patient visits per year.
The clinic offers access to affordable and high-quality primary care, dental care, breast cancer screening, prenatal & pediatric care, pharmaceutical support, health and nutrition education, teen services and insurance enrollment assistance.

AltaMed is looking for volunteers for its 27th Annual Duck-A-Thon event held at the Huntington Beach Pier on May 31 - June 2.

Volunteers will be placed in the kids zone area to oversee the carnival games, food and ticket sales. Volunteers will also assist with duck registration and retrieval of the ducks on the beach.

Opportunity Details

Every summer we reach more than 700 children with our Summer Reading Program which helps them maintain their reading skills and avoid declining competence known as the “summer slide”. Literacy is more important now then ever and our goal is to help our community in the best way we can.
The Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library hosts an annual community fair called "MayFest in Odessa" on the first Saturday of every May. This event features outdoor crafters, vendors, food, games and prizes for kids. We also have live music, a petting zoo, wandering costumed characters, a gigantic book sale, and an exciting huge raffle. All proceeds benefit our annual Summer Reading Program. About 1000 people come throughout the day to enjoy our events.
An aspect which makes our fundraiser such a success is all the community volunteers who come and help that day. Local high school students, adults and community members all join us in our quest to raise funds for our Summer Reading Program.
Volunteer responsibilities include but are not limited to helping set up tents, tables, unload vendor cars, supervise game stations, sell tickets, sell books, sell food, break down tents and tables, cars, and break down kids games.

A special night to recognize the hard work and dedication these young ladies displayed throughout the year. Parents and players will have the opportunity to sit down have dinner together, as well as, share in their successes with recognition and award ceremony. This high-end Spring Fashion show, hosted by Van Cleve Pavilion, will help fund the clothing purchased for women-in-need. It will be an evening of wine, appetizers, music and professional runway models wearing the trendiest spring styles! We are in need of volunteers to assist us with serving wine, appetizers, and assisting in receiving donations. We would need volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the event, making the service time commitment be 3 hours total.
