This family friendly event is appropriate for all ages and will showcase talented artists in the areas of “Dance,” “Spoken Word,” “Song,” “Live Music,” “Theatrical Performances,” and “Comedy.”

The Shoals Alabama Kidney Walk and Celebration is the Alabama Kidney Foundation's premier fundraising event dedicated to raising funds to help local kidney patients through the Foundation's Financial Assistance Program. Please join us for a morning filled with food, music, door prizes, children's activities and much more! The event will take place on Saturday, May 6th at the River Heritage Park in Florence. Registration begins at 8:30 AM with the Walk and Celebration starting at 9:30 AM. With our Kohl's volunteers help we are assured of a successful event that will help our family, friends and neighbors!

This opportunity would be to help prepare and set up materials such as silent auction items and forms, collate program training materials, prepare tables with linen, prepare items that will be used for event table setup, inventory materials, help collate books and or programs. Place name cards and other tags. Some food prepping with sandwiches vegetables. Early morning hours help with food and room setup. Need table servers during program. Workers get free lunch

The organization needs assistance with preparing items to be utilized in its upcoming outreach event. Wrapping utensils and folding napkins. Ironing and folding table clothes. Parents as Teachers is offering families an opportunity to explore a kid-friendly venue and participate in hands-on activities with their children in celebration of Easter. We will meet at the Rustic Backyard located at 304 Old Hwy 49 West, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Kids will get to experience a small petting zoo, slides, large jump pad, play areas, and have a photo with the Easter Bunny. It is a great parental involvement opportunity. There will be an egg hunt with books at prizes. Goals: parental involvement, social/emotional growth and development, group connection, promote literacy, and foster strong relationships between parent/child.
