While universities tend to focus on foundational skills, OST2 focuses on vocational skills. But the two often go hand-in-hand, and the students who go on to create the best outcomes are those who are strong in both areas. But that means we need to make sure that students at universities are made aware of the availability of the skills taught at OST2, so that they can increase their job prospects.

A person working in this role would approach both university instructors and student groups to let them know about OST2. Instructors who have classes that are highly aligned with OST2 classes (such as Arch1001, which is based off the most vocationally-relevant portions of a computer architecture class based on the Bryant and O'Hallaron book) would be asked to let students know that supplementary material exists in the form of OST2 classes. And cybersecurity student groups and clubs would be asked to pass down awareness of the OST2 materials from year to year.

World-wide, women make up ~50% of the population, but the cybersecurity workforce men outnumber women 3 to 1. In the US while many companies have published diversity reports and indicated their intention to hire a more diverse workforce, both hispanic and black citizens remain underrepresented relative to their population. But OST2 can help be an equalizer by providing high quality education to everyone for free, and giving people the skills they need to obtain not just entry level jobs, but the significantly higher paying jobs too.

In this role, you'd work with other organizations which are focusing on outreach to underrepresented communities to build strong partnerships. E.g. you'd help ensure their constituents are aware of OST2 as a resource. You'd also seek out instructors to help increase OST2's diversity and representation.

Blood donations are down while the need has rebounded. This is especially scary for patients needing regular blood transfusions. With communities re-opening from the pandemic, travel resuming and patients seeking previously postponed medical care, Vitalant has less than a needed two-day supply of most blood types to meet patient needs at a moment’s notice. Type O blood is below a one-day supply. Type O is what’s often used in trauma situations, especially type O negative, because it can be transfused to patients with any blood type in an emergency room setting.

Blood transfused into hospital patients can only come from blood drives such as this. We are hoping for 25 donors to participate in this blood drive.

The Stand Tall Event is bringing hope, relief and support to young Australians facing adversity in their high school years: addressing issues such as self-harm, suicide, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, bullying and domestic violence, social isolation.

In 2021, we will be hosting the inaugural Stand Tall Tamworth Event and would love you to be a part of it! Be a part of a truly life-changing day event. With a projected 4500 regional High School students gathering to hear some of Australia's best speakers and musicians at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment & Conference Centre!
The Stand Tall Event will run from 9am-2pm, however we will need assistance with school arrivals prior to the start of the event.

After a hugely successful Stand Tall Sydney event on 9 June 2021 Stand Tall will return to the Aware Super Theatre at the ICC Darling Harbour on 8 June 2022.
Be a part of a truly life-changing day event. With projected 6,000 High School students gathering to hear some of Australia's best speakers and musicians at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour!
Volunteers will also be required for the bump-in rehearsal day on 7 June 2022.

PURPOSE/GOAL OF RESOURCE MOBILIZATION ACTIVITY: To acquire financial resources to fund our organization charity programs in Turkana

IMPORTANCE OF RESOURCE MOBILIZATION ACTIVITY:

RESOURCE MOBILIZATION OFFICER DUTIES:
1. Exploring funding sources and strategic partnership opportunities from the potential donors identified in the strategy;
1. Create and coordinate partnerships on, to enhance collaboration, advocacy, resource mobilization and knowledge sharing;
2. Draft, review and provide quality assurance for technical donor reports, proposals, modification requests, and any other type of fundraising documents and ensure their timely submission.
3. Prepare and review concept notes and proposals for donor funding across all BLEC programs as needed;
4. Analysis and research of information on donors, preparation of substantive briefs on possible areas of cooperation and identification of opportunities for cost-sharing
5. Organize resource mobilization events for example, Donor Round Tables.

Blood donors save the lives of Arizona patients like David, who is alive today with the help of 39 blood donors. In March of 2017, his doctor sent him to the ER where an oncologist confirmed that David had leukemia and would have survived only three or four weeks had he not come to the hospital. David spent 100 days in the hospital enduring rounds of chemotherapy, overcoming medical set-backs and receiving blood transfusions before he finally heard the words “your cancer is in remission” “Blood donors gave me a chance to get married, and last fall, become a father.” said David. “I am so inspired by their sacrifice.”
