Pacific Symphony is the premier symphonic orchestra in Orange County, CA. Through exceptional musical performances, educational opportunities and community programming, Pacific Symphony inspires, engages and serves the Orange County community and Southern California region.

Like many nonprofit organizations, we love interns! We seek interns who are interested in growing professionally while experiencing the magic of orchestral music. We are looking for interns who want to advance their education and careers through contributing their time and talent to the advancement of music and arts programming in Orange County. Pacific Symphony interns reflect the diversity of interests and backgrounds that are found in our community.

We need smart and talented interns who have the expertise to assist our various departments in and outside of the Symphony Office. These departments include Finance, Marketing and Public Relations, Development, Artistic and Orchestra Operations, and Education and Community Outreach. Students who are studying Music, Business, Human Resources, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Media, Data Management, IT/tech, Web Development, Writing, Office Administration and more are welcome to apply to our Internship Program. Like all nonprofit organizations, we need volunteers! We seek volunteers who are interested in giving back to the community while helping to spread the magic of orchestral music. Our volunteers enthusiastically advance the mission of Pacific Symphony through the contributions of their time, talent, resources, and ambassadorship. Our volunteers are are the window to the community and are a reflection of the diversity of interests and backgrounds that are found in Orange County.

Welcome Table Volunteers are responsible for set up/tear down and managing the Marketing and Renewal Tables at the Segerstrom Concert Hall and other venues. They assist patrons with inquiries about the Symphony, upcoming events and season renewals. They are also occasionally needed to transport materials to/from the Pacific Symphony offices, printer or warehouse. Volunteers must be available on assigned concert dates between 6:30 and 10:30 pm for an extended period of time, typically several or more months. All volunteers will receive a free ticket to that day's concert.

Anointed Vessel Productions make an impact by providing “Project Heartbeat,” an After School Performing Arts Educational Program targeting youth age 11-17 from low income families and residential foster care homes. The program provides a platform for creative expression and positive self-identity for increased confidence and improved academic achievement.

Opportunity Details

NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties provides free services to local people who are affected by mental health conditions. The annual Walk for Wellness is our largest fundraiser and family-oriented, fun event to support our services. Our goal this year is to raise $30,000; we are well on our way, but need more community support to meet our goal. Participants will walk a 1- or 2- mile course through Secrest Arboretum, and have the opportunity to meet other people impacted by mental health.
