Mini Maker Faires are one‐day, family‐friendly events that celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology projects and the Do‐It‐Yourself (DIY) mindset. It’s for resourceful, creative people who like to tinker and love to make things. Craftsmen, artisans, performers, homesteaders, crafters, inventors, thinkers and doers are welcome to apply to be Makers. The Faire will showcase cutting edge technology such as 3D printing and robotics, but also have more traditional trades such as woodworking, fine arts, and sewing crafts.
Makers anywhere from hobbyists to large corporations are side-by-side at our Faire, because the Faire is about creativity and innovation everywhere. The purpose is to expose attendees to skills they have never seen or tried before whether they’re cutting edge, centuries old or anywhere in between.
The Children’s Museum is the host and producer of this event. The Museum is a leader in our community for youth education and promoting a passion for lifelong learning. In keeping with this tradition, the theme for the Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire is “Makers of All Ages.” The Museum is actively recruiting Makers of every age. Makers under 18 will be featured as “Young Makers.”
This year’s Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2020 from 10am-4pm on the grounds of the Children’s Museum right in the heart of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Last year we saw 1500 people attend this free event. We are able to produce this world-class event due to the numerous volunteers we attract.

IPEI's adult spelling bee is a 20+ year staple of the early spring in Ithaca! 32 teams gather to demonstrate their spelling acumen and talent, alongside the ability to create great punny names and costumes, in support of IPEI's grants programs for Ithaca City School District's teachers, staff and students!
Held at Ithaca High School, our Bee is catered by local institutions, includes special guests, a live silent auction and a hangout space for kids!

Since 1996, IPEI has funded over 1.5 million dollars in projects and programs which have created a culture of innovative education for all Ithaca's students.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for finding and maintaining relationships between PAALS, Inc. and our corporate partners. The first step will be doing research on what a corporate partnership relationship will look like. Beyond that, we will be reaching out to potential corporate partners and establishing a relationship.

Responsibilities:
Research and reach out to potential corporate partners.
Nurture and maintain all corporate partner relationships.
Engage corporate partners in organization activities, whether it's events, or annual giving.
Maintain a high level of professionalism - this person is the face of PAALS, Inc. to some potential very important companies!

Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm for our cause is a MUST!
Experience and comfort with email, and online spreadsheet software.
Commitment of 4-6 hours per week.

Ninth Annual Bowling to End Domestic Violence – sponsored by the Friends of OneEighty. All proceeds from this event will support victims of domestic violence. We are looking for volunteers to help assist with the games, staff the prize table and help with the dessert auction.

We are in need of volunteers willing to serve Justice At Last as a member of the Board of Directors or in some other capacity as a volunteer.

Board Member: Join us and have the opportunity to impact social justice and help enhance the lives of trafficked persons. We are expanding and diversifying our Board of Directors, with a goal of being inclusive. We are seeking candidates that are representative of the community we serve, have Board experience and or have a particular skill set, including finance, data analysis, fund raising, event planning and marketing expertise. Board of Director terms are 3 years and there are 6 meetings per year. Board members must reside within the San Francisco Bay Area.

Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Ambassadors: We are seeking volunteers willing to be Ambassadors for Justice At Last and attend local, county and/or state civic meetings (i.e. City Council, Board of Supervisors, State legislative meetings, etc.) along with Justice At Last to ensure the community knows about the legal needs of trafficked persons.

Fundraising Committee: We are seeking volunteers with experience in social media, marketing, fund raising and event planning to join our Fundraising Committee. As of now, all the volunteer work is done virtually and we are planning for two in-person events in 2023.

Anointed Vessel Productions make an impact by providing “Project Heartbeat,” an after school performing arts educational program targeting youth age 11-17 from low income families. The program provides a platform for creative expression and positive self-identity for increased confidence and improved academic achievement.

The goal of the event is to raise funds to sustain “Project Heartbeat” and to highlight the importance of education. The event will include a silent auction, vendor booths, live music, spoken word (poetry), comedian, and the stage play production titled “Second Chances.”
