CAP is seeking volunteers to read with our younger (K-5th grade) students. All volunteer must pass a background check/fingerprinting. Tutoring opportunities are Mon-Thurs from 2:30 to 5:30 during the school year.
CAP also need math tutors for the same times and with the same requirements.
We need help with web design/maintenance, IT, event planning, PR/publicist, and more!

Books of Joy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower children in under-served communities to achieve their full potential through education. We partner with local communities to provide books, school supplies, create educational programs and establish learning environments to promote literacy. Our organization is entirely run by volunteers. We are seeking a volunteer Corporate Relations Development Manager to identify and build strategic relationship with corporate partners who share similar values to Books of Joy, and help broaden our impact of empowering children with education.

Responsibilities:
- Research and secure corporate partner support for our cause and build strategic alliance
- Develop and implement a corporate development strategy, researching and identifying prospective corporate partners with synergies in mission with our organization
- Conduct business development activities, identifying appropriate contacts and building partnership opportunities
- Collaborate with companies' giving departments in designating corporate contributions, workplace giving and matching gifts to our children's educational programs
- Co-design programs with corporations that bring transformational change in children's education

Qualifications:
- Ability to present our vision to potential partners and funders
- Knowledge of corporate businesses and potential partners
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Commitment:
- Flexible; 2 hours per week

Our conference will be held June 9-11, 2016 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Our volunteers’ incredible contributions ensure the success and continuation of the world’s largest trans* health conference – a three day event, free to our over 3200 attendees, with 250+ workshops and activities.

The mission of PTHC is to educate and empower trans* individuals on issues of health and well-being; educate and inform allies and health service providers; along with facilitating networks, community-building, and systemic changes. We strive to create an accessible and respectful environment that is inclusive of diverse gender-identities and expressions as well as inclusive of diverse opinions and ideas.

Mental Health Charity Trustee with experience in fundraising, fundraising strategy and external communications.
The role of a Trustee is to attend four meetings each year and an AGM. The active Trustee will help the Project Director develop strategies particularly in the area of fundraising and external communications.
The ideal Trustee joining the team will be able to add general managerial expertise for the charity as a whole. The Board consists of 8 trustees at present as well as the Project Director herself. We have experience in legal, accountancy, and building trade, as well as in mental health service needs and counselling arrangements. Our key challenge is to become self-sufficient in terms of funding over the next two years.
Vital skills are:
1) a passion for helping to develop the individual, a sympathetic approach to mental disability and a positive outlook for their future wellbeing,
2) a keen interest in developing the organisation to include helping more people at the centre,
3) experience in fundraising, fundraising strategy and external communications.

Time Commitment
Quarterly management committee, held in the evening, lasting average 90 mins. Plus a regular fundraising sub-committee (frequency of which to be determined but possibly every 6 weeks). Additional time if working on a specific project.
