Vitalant hopes to attract nearly 50,000 blood donors over the summer to save lives in Arizona hospitals. Those donors will help people like Hayley, who was able to celebrate her 22nd birthday last month thanks to 95 blood donors. She was born with Diamond Blackfan Anemia, a rare disease that prevented her body from producing red blood cells. She relied on the kindness of strangers to provide lifesaving blood transfusions every month at Phoenix Children’s Hospital until she was able to receive a bone marrow transplant.

Backing LatAm's Middle Class will select 8-10 entrepreneurs who increase economic mobility, help more people move into the middle class, and address systemic barriers that exist for entering the middle class (especially those that disproportionately affect women).
We will work with startups that are creating continued growth in job opportunities, alternative access to the benefits that formal employment offers, additional opportunities to shore up financial health and even create wealth, access to financial resources, and consistent access to quality education.

The volunteer will say a few words to close the program with the cohort (10-20 minutes) at the very last day of the workshops in Mexico City. This is a private event with only those participating in the program, so the participation should come from someone that has been involved in the program or knows our work together well.
