You’ll make new friends as you receive training in the fine art of greeting guests, escorting them to their table, and ensuring they will have a fabulous evening. You are also to be a magician! To insure that our guests have a magical evening of theater we will count on your important help. Prior to the show you’ll assist in preparing the house and lobby, then graciously seat our guests. During intermission your power of persuasion will be used to encourage guests to purchase ticket subscriptions and concessions, and helping out where you might be needed. Then following the performance, help magically-transform the house and lobby back to their original state with your sidekick, the trashcan.

On September 29, 2018 in beautiful Brambleton, Virginia, two and four-legged athletes will race to Crush Cancer at Both Ends of the Leash in the 2nd Annual Two By Four Race Against Childhood & Canine Cancer. In its first year, the race saw more than 350 participants and raised nearly $16,400, bringing together our Loudoun community and beyond, including runners, the childhood cancer community, dog lovers, families, running clubs, Girl and Cub Scouts, and school and community volunteer organizations in a unique one-of-a-kind event. Even with little planning time for the 2017 race, more than 350 participants and 18 sponsors made it a huge success. We are looking to more than double those numbers this year! We will need lots of wonderful volunteers to help on all aspects, including Race Planning, as well as on Race Day( Registration, Course Marshalls, Water & Food Stations, Volunteer Management, etc.)

Founded in Houston, Texas in 2015, GO Run For Fun has become a sustainable community program that provides children at a formative age the necessary tools to lead positive and prepared lifestyles ready for the challenges of adulthood. In 2017, 14, 528 children in 22 participated in GO Run For Fun in the Alvin, Clear Creek and La Porte, Texas school districts. The mission of GO Run For Fun is simple…to get kids moving! This 1K fun run is delivered in elementary schools during the school day completely free of charge. Students are exposed to the benefits of running/walking through an exciting and fun agenda that includes music, local celebrity appearances and the opportunity to participate with their entire school at their own pace.

Our success results from the loyal dedication and hard work of many volunteers. GRFF volunteers help to set up the course, act as route marshalls and cheerleaders, run the sound and music system, act as mascot handlers, and help to break down the event equipment. Volunteers have the opportunity to engage with the students during the pre-event activities, during the run and are on-hand for "High-5 Duty," as kids cross the finish line.

By volunteering for a GO Run For Fun event, YOU are helping us to provide our local elementary school children with an opportunity to increase their self-esteem, perform better academically and foster confidence in kids at all sporting levels.
