Our non-profit, Partnership to End Addiction, is currently funded by Google.org grants. We build products for concerned significant others (CSOs) who want to help their loved one struggling with addiction. We have named our products and services as we built them, but we never went through a rigorous, structured naming process. We are now seeking volunteers with product naming expertise to guide us through a comprehensive naming process for all our products, including Coach Compass, developed during our participation in the GenAI Accelerator program with Google.org last year (https://blog.google/outreach-initiatives/google-org/google-generative-ai-accelerator-nonprofits/). Although a naming process was conducted for Coach Compass within the Accelerator, we believe a unified naming approach across all our products is necessary. In July 2024 we attended an accelerator presentation on product naming delivered by the following members of the Google naming team: Justin Gamero (Senior Brand and Naming Strategist), Daniel Guan (Product Marketing Manager), and Tori Miner (Head of Naming Strategy). The lessons, advice, and examples in the presentation were extremely helpful, and we'd love an opportunity to connect with that team or anyone at Google with similar roles/experience. We've included an example below to illustrate the kind of guidance we're seeking.

Our Coach Compass (https://drugfree.org/ai-coach-compass/) is a training tool within our Peer Support program. Our Peer Support program empowers parents to navigate what their child or loved one is going through with confidence, compassion, and hope by connecting them to a trained parent coach who can listen to their story and provide support.

The Peer Support program needs a name that conveys what the program is about. It should also be eye-catching and attractive to potential volunteers, funders, and partners.
