Village Eulogia for Families with Special Needs (VE) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our volunteer executive team. VE is a faith-based charity engaging and supporting families raising a child or young adult with disabilities. Our passion is to help others, and we were led to create this charity to build a “village” of volunteers and families dedicated to finding the blessings in a life with disability.Being an executive team member offers you the chance to:
• Enrich the lives of people with disabilities and their families
• Engage with a great group of volunteers and families
• Showcase your skills and expertise
• Enhance your resume with volunteer roles
• Be an ambassador to a great cause
We are looking for fellow Christians who believe in the power of Faith to bring strength and healing to the families on this challenging path of disability. Greater hands will allow us to build and grow the activities of the charity. Our executive team runs the events and activities of the charity with the support of two part-time staff, our board of directors and our general volunteer pool.
Your involvement in our executive team would mean a commitment of 8 to 12 hours per month depending on the role you are interested in. We are seeking people who have a special talent to offer such as business, marketing, fundraising, or accounting. However, the most important factor is that you are a team player and have a strong desire to improve the lives of those with a disability.

Take part in 2019’s Digital Marketing Club, a bi-monthly event that brings together east London charities and volunteers with marketing expertise. We are looking for volunteers to help charities tackle their marketing challenges, enabling them to reach potential service users and supporters more effectively. Each two-hour club will involve a short presentation, Q&A and 1:1 work, and will be focused around a key issue community organisations face, such as creating a social media strategy or how to use website analytics. Hosted at ELBA’s offices in the Isle of Dogs, this is a valuable and fun opportunity for marketing professionals to share their expertise with charities working with limited resources and knowledge. We take care of our animals just like you do at your house; and we need help with all the things that go along with that. Cleaning, Bathing, Walking, Medicating, Socializing. We also need help getting these guys adopted and that could mean taking pictures, posting on social media, Taking them for walks with their adopt me vests and information. We need help in all sorts of forms and we would love to have you come be part of our team on a one time or regular basis.

We need help during #DiaperHour to help take care of visitors & distribute Diapers!
What type of Volunteer work would I be doing? When you first arrive, we’d need help with unpacking diapers & organizing everything in our office as needed to prepare for the #DiaperHour. During #DiaperHour, your main task will be helping ‘Awesome Moms’ fill out application, explain the programs, and helping them bring down the diapers to their car. (we’re on 2nd floor) Based on our need, we may also ask you to help with wrapping diapers, organizing, doing inventory, or other important task that needs to be done. Most of all, we need our volunteer to be helpful & make ‘Awesome Moms’ feel welcome during our #DiaperHour!
