Role/Scope of Work: Manage the marketing and communications strategy for the organization as well as the branding message.

Skills needed/proficiency: Experience in marketing/communications and brand development. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to be creative in the development of a newly emerging marketing and communication strategy. This work requires advertising, marketing, public/media relations experience, project management, electronics communications, and graphics design skills and experience.

Other activities include developing new newsletter template, editing website, blogging strategy, developing brochures, and editing existing documents and materials.

We need volunteers to help at the market to assist our Food Access Coordinator at the market table - interacting with customers and assisting with tasks such as handing out information, and gathering customer data. ARC’s board primarily provides working support, governance and policy oversight.
Board Member responsibilities include:

A lightness of spirit and willingness to have fun, connect and be joyful together in the leadership of life changing organization
18 to 20 hour per month time commitment, including committee participation for strategic plan implementation, 40th anniversary events, and other projects (five hours a week)
Give/Get donation: $500 first full calendar year on board, $1,000 each for second and third years.
3-year terms, renewable once before a mandatory hiatus of one year. Re-appointment after the hiatus would be for a new 3-year term.
Volunteer at ARC at least one weekend annually, 2 or more volunteer visits would be gratefully received.
Attend bi-monthly meetings
Assist in recruiting new board members as positions become open and as you prepare to cycle off.
BOARD MEMBER SKILLS WISH LIST

Finance/Accounting/CPA background or experience to serve as Treasurer to assist the board and ARC leadership and contracted bookkeeper with financial oversight and planning.
Fundraising experience or interest, including an Individuals with corporate or foundation connections who are willing to help ARC build its network are especially desired.
Marketing skills including planning, development and/or advising on outbound marketing materials including print, digital and social media.
Event Planning: Experience planning and executing events large and small to assist with our 40th anniversary festivities in 2018.
Individuals with other skillsets are also encouraged to apply.

5. Learn and teach how lighting is best use, the use of spotlight, and the use of screen projector.

Who: Volunteers Needed to help assembly baby bath buckets filled with bath essentials for the upcoming Military Baby Shower. Kids, Teens and Adults are welcome to assist.
Where: Centennial Hills YMCA-6601 N Buffalo Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89131
When: Thursday, May 10th
Time: 6-8pm (You do not have to stay the entire 2 hours)
Info: Volunteers are needed to help put together bath buckets for our upcoming Military Baby Shower. If you can bring any donations of baby shampoo, conditioner, bath toys, hooded towels etc are requested but not mandatory!
