Who We Are:
Compassion Animal Project is a national nonprofit organization working to keep families together. With inflation rising, more families than ever cannot afford unexpected and costly emergency veterinary bills. As many as two-thirds of pets euthanized each week are for financial reasons. We partner with veterinary hospitals across the U.S. to end economic euthanasia by granting loving pet owners the funds needed to treat their pets and bring them home. Founded by a veterinarian of nearly 40 years, Compassion Animal Project is a small team of 3 individuals, a board of directors, and dozens of volunteers who believe that finances should never be a determining factor in our pets’ survival.
Description:
We are looking for creative case story writers! Responsibilities include using unique details and information pet parents submit to craft a compelling story (1 page) that can be shared on social media, blogs, newsletters, and more. Case story writers are essential to engaging our social media audience and providing value to our donors. Every pet we save deserves to have its story told, and every donor deserves to hear how their dollar saved a life and helped a family in need. Volunteers should have strong writing skills and the ability to tell an impactful, engaging story. This position would report to the Director of Development with support from the Director of Communications. Please be prepared to share writing samples. Must be able to work independently.
