Work with 6-8 college students from August 9th to September 29th to execute a marketing and fundraising campaign for our upcoming Narae performance.Students will comprise of members from Korean Student Association, Korean Student Union (similar organization but mostly with Korean international students), Chinese and Taiwanese organizations, consulting clubs, and marketing classes.
The objective of the project is to learn how a non-profit organization can run a fund-

Purpose: The Community Outreach Director is responsible for coordinating The Safe Haven Network’s community outreach and engagement initiatives. They will work to increase the organization’s presence in the community and will build relationships with individuals, citizen groups and other organizations in support of The Safe Haven Network’s activities. Specifically, the Community Outreach Director will promote pet space at domestic violence agencies in and around Chicago, and encourage pet-friendly policies with community service providers.Location: The Community Outreach Director must be located in Chicago or the Chicago area. They must be able to attend meetings in Chicago at least once a month, and be able to meet with community partners in and around Chicago.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and organize training presentations for referral program partners and community partners
- Recruit and manage volunteers as needed, including volunteer presenters
- Organize efforts to support pet services at domestic violence agencies
- Organize and execute annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month supply drive
- Work with domestic violence shelters to add pet space
- Draft and publish regular e-newsletter for community engagement

Habitat for Humanity seeks volunteers to help build homes for people in need.How does it work?
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Houston County Habitat builds simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build even more Habitat houses. Houston County Habitat provides a hand-up, not a hand-out. In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, partner families invest hundreds of hours of their own labor - called sweat equity - into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.
Requirements:
No previous experiences is required, just willingness to learn and work hard. We provide all the tools and equipment.
All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to work on the construction sites and 14 years of age in the ReStore.
All volunteers must complete this information and the Waiver and Release of Liability Form.
Minors must have a parent or guardian sign the Waiver and Release of Liability Form and bring it to the construction site or ReStore on their volunteer day.
