Opportunity Details

Position Description: The Outreach Committee will be responsible for fully understanding and sharing Passion Impact’s (PI) story, advocating for the mission, and promoting PI’s presence in the general public. Committee members will engage and educate the community about the goals and values of PI.


Responsibilities:
- Strengthen PI’s relationship with the community.
- Design and implement a community engagement plan.
- Increase tabling presence by understanding PI’s tabling strategy and redesigning it for improved results.
- Collaborate with other committees and staff to improve advertising strategies and engage more locals.
- Work with staff to actively recruit for board and committee members.

- Knowledge of the local community and its resources
- Good networking and interpersonal skills
- Passion for volunteerism and student engagement
- Desire to actively engage the mission

For this specific position, we are looking for individuals with past experience working with small and/or large non-profits in the Social Justice, Environmental Justice, or Engineering industries. A successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes.

Preparing marketing content that is published on a daily/weekly basis via our organization and social media channels, e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and our website's blog and press release page. This position requires proven writing skills and technical writing is a plus.

Additionally the volunteer candidate will have experience designing and building videos to be shared via YouTube.

Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in connection with other members of our organization.

A background in Environmental or Social Justice is important, whether from industry experience or classwork. Engineering interests are a plus.

Additionally the volunteer candidate should have some experience and/or familiarity working in the MailChimp platform.

Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in connection with other members of our organization.
