Event Volunteers to join our AWEsome Team!October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and my mission is to reach at least 500 people by December 2016 based our founder's own story of "Triumph Over Troubles": http://www.inawefoundation.org/our-vision
Can you either relate or help?
Statistics available at: www.samsha.org
This is our very first, "Bagging For Charity" event being held at the ShopRite in Washington, NJ off of Route 31 from 10 am - 4 pm. All volunteers will be asked to wear our In Awe Foundation t-shirts and help the customers in ShopRite bag their groceries.
We have planned in honor all of our volunteers for slices of Desiderio's Pizza as our event is close to Halloween.
Event ends at 4:15 pm and for those interested in being part of our AWEsome Team for future events we will keep you posted of future events such as the Toy Drive for children of families affected by Abuse, Addiciton, or Anger.
3 key reasons, "WHY" volunteering is fulfilling -
> Our AWEsome Volunteers will see immediate results as Meena's energy engages people intuitively to take action!
> Giving back to the community fills our volunteer's heart with gratitude, which increases their productivity in the workplace and happiness at home!
> Feel a deeper sense of freedom and fulfillment as they watch others rebuilding their lives from nothing to having everything!
In our efforts to support and establish a research project for future grants, volunteers will get to witness the impact of our S.P.O.T. Coaching as we give away 5 scholarships to be utilized within the next 30 days of our proven and unique weekly S.P.O.T. Coaching* services in 20 minute weekly phone sessions. (*Scholarships are valid and only redeemable through Nov. 30, 2016, provided all S.P.O.T. Coaching sessions are scheduled within the first week from the end date of our October 29th Bagging For Charity event.)
For those volunteers, who are uncomfortable with sales or asking for money, we've made the process aligned it so we can accept contributions via our www.GoFundMe.com/InAweFoundation page of via PayPal or via our website and for those who wish to allow ShopRIte customers to use their own mobile devices and tablets, we certainly appreciate it, yet not require it.
Raising awareness for Domestic Violence is the primary goal of this yearly event - through our slogan, Speak Up and Step Out! from any abusive relationship, because we all deserve respect and don't need to tolerate, unacceptable behavior.
"We Help People affected by Abuse, Addiction, or Anger to Rebuild Their Lives Through Recovery Life Coaching That Complements Counseling, via our Enthusiasm In Action through Coaching that educates and encourages them to feel empowered to take inspired actions with accountability to create, The Foundation for an Awesome Life!"

WYF is seeking dynamic professional volunteers/mentors to help open the minds of our next generation of leaders. Through our flagship program YIIP, we are preparing students to excel academically, thrive in the workforce, assume productive leadership roles, and gain and maintain economic empowerment in this increasingly global society. Without strong literacy skills in reading and writing, students are unable to comprehend and learn information, record and apply knowledge, and function appropriately as contributing members of our global society. Moreover, without strong literacy skills that equip them to win in life against all odds, our youth -- especially underserved minorities -- will continue to experience academic underperformance that widens the racial achievement gap in education, economic disadvantage, homelessness, growing incarceration rates, growing teen pregnancy rates, growing gang affiliation rates, growing crime and drug addiction rates, growing unemployment and underemployment rates, and other poverty- and literacy-related community ills as cited in the Harris County Community Plan and other sources. The Literacy component of YIIP’s Literacy and STEAM program underpins every step of the program. The program will capitalize on the intriguing nature of science and entrepreneurship to provide problem-based learning tools that enable YIIP to not only teach STEAM and entrepreneurship skills but also reading, writing, and public-speaking skills.
The STEAM component provides the fun, engaging project-based learning environment in which YIIP will motivate students to develop the myriad skills outlined above. Our projects will draw on various STEAM fields, including physics, geology, engineering, computer technology, climatology, mathematics, chemistry, graphic design, performing and visual arts, and web design.
The project goals are YIIP’s Literacy and STEAM Program has the following five goals:
1. Strengthen students’ literacy skills in an effort to enhance their educational and career readiness.
2. Improve students’ literacy and STEAM skills through the use of fun, engaging project-based learning programs specifically designed with best practices and evidence-based instructional strategies in mind.
3. Expose underserved middle and high school students to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) in an effort to provide students with resources to design their own futures in a STEAM career.
4. Cultivate an additional means of fulfilling YIIP’s overall goal, which is to create self-sufficient entrepreneurs with the business acumen to produce/provide innovative affordable products/services in quantities sufficient to lift themselves and their families
5. Aid society in achieving a diverse and dynamic global workforce whereby enhances the pipeline of skilled workers in STEAM professions.
Your participation will help us strengthen our program, while expanding into the local school districts.
