Our goal is to increase awareness of our mission to support veterans' recovery from post-traumatic stress and other invisible wounds, engage the community in our activities, and drive participation in our programs and fundraising efforts. Through effective social media strategies, we aim to reach and connect with more veterans in need, potential donors, volunteers, and partners, ultimately contributing to the reduction of veteran suicide and deaths from substance abuse.

Your Tasks:
- Review and enhance our current social media strategy to align with our mission and goals.
- Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns to measure success and impact.
- Develop and manage a social media content calendar to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
- Advise on best practices for social media engagement, platform use, and content creation.
- Create compelling, respectful, and mission-aligned content for our social media profiles.
- Increase follower engagement and growth across all platforms, fostering a supportive online community.

What's needed:
-Background in marketing, social media, or related field.
-Experience with photo and/or video editing is a significant plus.
-Passion for supporting veteran causes and understanding of sensitive communication related to mental health and recovery.

Availability:
- Flexible hours, approximately 5-10 hours per week.
- We are looking for a commitment of at least 6 months to ensure continuity and impact.
- While we have specific needs during key campaign periods, we are generally flexible and can adapt to your schedule.

Have individuals or groups that can be called upon for any of these special areas. We also look for volunteers to offer life skills programs for our MOMS programs. Role Description:

Volunteering as a one-on-one mentor with the Rise Small Business Lending Program (lending program) is an opportunity to give personalized mentorship support to an entrepreneur in the process of building a small business. 

Currently, Rise is looking for volunteers who have extensive skills and knowledge to share in critical business areas, such as e-commerce, digital marketing, online branding and communications, finance and accounting for small business, and/or general expertise in small business and entrepreneurship.

Lending program mentorship is our most in-depth and hands-on volunteer opportunity. As a mentor, you will be matched with a Rise client who has recently secured a Rise loan (up to $10k) and can benefit from your unique experience. Over a year of monthly meetings and ongoing communication, you will give professional guidance and personal support to help your mentee build their skills and make informed decisions to strengthen and grow their business. Throughout your mentoring relationship, you and your mentee will have ongoing support from Rise to help make your experience as productive and fulfilling as possible for both parties.

The Leukemia Research Foundation and ABC7 have partnered for 30 years to bring this landmark event to Chicago to raise funds and awareness and celebrate leukemia survivors and patients. Proceeds from the event benefit the Leukemia Research Foundation, the nation’s largest nonprofit focused exclusively on funding leukemia research and supporting leukemia patients and their loved ones.

This year we will be running, walking, and raising funds on Saturday, June 1 at Montrose Harbor, Chicago. We will kick off at 8:30am with our 5K run, 3K walk and a kids dash to follow.

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Dentopharma is a dental supplies company with 17 years of operations in Tanzania, specializing in importing and distributing dental products, including consumables, instruments, and equipment designed for restorative and preventative dentistry. ​​

Currently, the company serves a diverse clientele, with approximately 70% of its business focused on public sector hospitals and facilities, encompassing both regional and national healthcare institutions. In addition to public sector collaborations, Dentopharma actively works with private dental clinics and facilities to meet their dental product needs. However, it's worth noting that the dental market in Tanzania faces stagnation and intense competition. Convincing new customers in this environment is a considerable challenge.​​

Aligned with their expansion strategy, Dentopharma is preparing to extend its network by incorporating hospitals and clinics through the introduction of digital health solutions. This forward-thinking approach includes equipping dental laboratories with state-of-the-art machinery like milling machines and press furnaces to enhance efficiency. Furthermore, the company is at the forefront of introducing digital procurement systems, tailored specifically for dental supplies and emphasizing centralized procurement and reporting systems. THE PROBLEM STATEMENT
Dentopharma is undergoing a transformation by introducing innovative digital health solutions to support cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry while improving operational efficiency. The challenge it faces pertains to its go-to-market strategy. Dentopharma needs to effectively onboard other dentists and dental facilities onto this new digital approach, particularly through utilizing equipped dental labs. Moreover, it seeks guidance on converting a substantial customer base swiftly after the initial product launch. To ensure the success of this shift in focus and provide value to the dental community, Dentopharma aims to address these critical issues in its go-to-market strategy.​

THE OPPORTUNITY
A team of volunteers experienced in developing effective strategies tailored to the dental industry and digital health solutions is needed to assist Dentopharma in Tanzania. The clients require volunteers with expertise in sales and marketing to attract, acquire, and retain dental professionals as customers, and familiar with planning and executing product launches to guide Dentopharma in gaining market traction quickly.​

The following need to be taken into consideration:​
a) The go-to-market strategy is still under development​
b) Dentopharma sponsors three staff members from local hospitals in Tanzania to undergo dental digital lab training in Turkey. These hospitals have expressed their commitment to piloting the new digital strategy and products.​
c) Dentopharma is committed to further investing in engaging more dentists and facilities in the new digital approach after the initial launch.​

A team of volunteers will work with the Dentopharma Team, BHS Volunteer Engagement Manager (Skeeter Makau), and BHS Client Engagement Manager (Mecklina I. Hornung) for the duration of 6 – 9 months. The expected level of effort is an average of one (1) hour per week for the project's duration.​

The following deliverables make up the scope of this project:​
1. A Go-to-Market Strategy Framework is developed for efficient customer onboarding and rapid adoption at Dentopharma.​
2. Valuable insights and expertise in dental industry sales and marketing provided and documented.​
3. Guidance in planning and executing product launches for rapid market traction in digital dental solutions provided and documented.​
