We have a facebook page. Doesnt everyone? Maybe not. We might need an Instagram or Twitter account... We probably don't need Tinder, but you are the pro, tell us what it will take to get our hands on #vetsfarm in front of the people who want to see it. We can provide content, but getting online and managing multiple accounts is a lot of fence mending and feeding times that we'd miss. We can share pictures of Mount Rainier, our livestock, and the local elk we are working to conserve, and hope you'll post them everywhere... We, not being online savvy, and having some staffing setbacks due to covid, are looking for a Social Media Pro to work with us to develop content and deliver it to the masses. We also want to include a regular dose of solid content about our neighbors and peers in conservation, agriculture, forestry and ecological design, as well as relevant "feel good" posts- links to articles about better nutrition, relevant veterans issues, best land management practices, and WINS in our peer communities.

Our seniors deserve to stay in their homes and engaged in the communities they love. Westside Pacific Villages is making that happen.WPV is not a retirement facility or caregiving agency. We are a non-profit organization coordinating a network of local volunteers to assist our members with everyday life.
Transportation is our number one service requested, given that many of our members can no longer drive. Getting out and about is a necessary and integral part of maintaining a healthy, happy life. These local trips often take less than 30 minutes and volunteers can choose to do just one-way if not both ways.
Daytime Drivers- Volunteers are needed throughout the week to drive members to/from medical appointments, social events, beauty shop/barber, the grocery store, and assist with other general errands.
Weekend Drivers - Volunteers are needed to drive members to/from religious services, the grocery store, and assist with other general errands.
Mileage reimbursement is also available for volunteers who drive older adults in the community.
To learn more about our volunteer opportunities, call (310) 695-7030 or email volunteer@thewpv.org.
To learn more about us online, visit our website at thewpv.org.
Complete the volunteer application form at thewpv.org/volunteer.
**Please note, as we begin helping seniors start to get out and about again, we are requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination by both the volunteer and senior prior to any in-person interactions.
Thank you!
