The International Child/Parent Development Program (ICDP) aims to strengthen the empathy-based relationship all child caregivers have with the children they care for so that they may promote positive development and well-being. ICDP is adapted and integrated within communities through the training of each community’s professionals and parents. Changing Children’s Worlds Foundation (CCWF) implements ICDP throughout the Chicagoland area.We're looking for a creative, smart, and organized volunteer with a passion for graphic design. Projects will include the creation of promotional, educational, and resource materials. This opportunity has flexible hours and will offer the applicant the opportunity to help create a finished product for Changing Children's Worlds programs. This internship might also offer the opportunity to contribute to our current curriculums and other projects. It also will give volunteers the opportunity to work in the nonprofit sector and gain insights into nonprofit management, children's rights and work within communities.
Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated with a great attitude.
- Must have previous experience in graphic design.
- Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, or alternative programs.
- Some photography skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience with fundraising events a plus.
Spanish language is not required, but would be an asset.

The African [SOUP] is an international nonprofit organization located in Nabikabala Village, Namatumba District, Uganda whose mission is to nourish Uganda's future leaders through education, compassionate care, and access to leadership growth opportunities. Serving 352 students in our Primary School, the African [SOUP] seeks to discover and share best educational practices by incorporating microfinance, healthcare, and sustainability initiatives into our learning philosophy, which in turn challenges students to become critical, creative, and ethical thinkers. By investing in this educational vision, the [SOUP] is striving to become the premier rural educational institution in Uganda.The [SOUP] has a unique story and we would love some help telling it. We are specifically looking for someone to donate their graphic design expertise and create marketing materials to use as leave-behinds and/or mailers, in addition to a short video that can be used on our website. We are also looking for printing costs to be donated in association with these materials.
