We are a small grassroots volunteer-run non-profit trying to end the epidemic of suicide that has hit our community. You would be helping us grow our non-profit and assist us with our mission.

We are seeking goal driven individuals who have a passion for suicide awareness and prevention who want to partner with us in our purpose and mission. JEM needs a graphic designer to help us grow, reach the community, design and create digital images for social media, T-shirts, brochures, and other marketing materials.

Combine art and technology to communicate ideas through images and text. Duties may include:

Teaching/Assisting: group sizes of 5-20 children, aged between 8 and 18, working on small projects i.e. music videos, mock commercials, comedy skits, slideshows (photography class), websites and game design.

The program runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with a workday of 9:30am to 3:30pm (this includes a 30 minute break per day).

The ideal candidate would be a student or schoolteacher with a free summer and production experience who can teach production to boys and girls, ages 8-18 i.e. shooting with digital video cameras and editing the footage; making animation projects, making websites. You should be an enthusiastic, motivated, warm, friendly, caring individual with the ability to communicate, with patience and clarity, with children and co-workers.

Duties and responsibilities:
Manage email communications with donor base as guided by our Secretary.
Assist responsible trustee to maintain and update database (Excel format).
Prepare marketing materials for specific events and functions (knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator is useful).
Management of Trustees Meetings (approx. 4 per year –London)
- Collate and issue agenda plus attachments one week before meeting.
- (if possible) Attend Trustees meetings (6.30 to 8pm) and take minutes.
- Issue draft minutes and follow up on actions as required.
Help with events organisation (one major and one minor per year) as appropriate.
Manage document filing and archiving process.
Time commitment – will vary though approx 3/4 hours per week. Minimum commitment of one year.
