We're a small non-profit, (small as in almost no budget at all), but we've been around 40 years, beginning as a 501(c)(3) neighborhood organization in Portland, ME and now do everything from helping with heating assistance to the poor during winter month, to helping clothe at-risk school kids. OGPC is a non-profit STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Design, Mathematics) advocacy organization that runs an annual competition for 6-12 graders and runs solely on donations. All positions are volunteer. We are looking for someone with a talent for designing eye-catching print layouts (brochures, posters, flyers), and/or the ability to create artwork/logos/illustrations as needed.

OGPC creates printable materials for coaches, students, and sponsors to hang in school hallways or libraries, to hand out at events, or to download/send in PDF format to interested parties. You would have our current materials for reference (don't laugh!), in addition to a library of our event photographs.

If you are a digital artist, we need illustrations/icons for our web site, our print materials, and in our manuals/handbooks for the season. We are currently working on creating professional-grade manuals in order to facilitate growing to new states/regions so having the right imagery is crucial.

All positions are volunteer. We are looking for someone with a passion for marketing and promotion. Our goal is to connect with every possible school to encourage new teams. We currently run Facebook (paid) and Google (sponsored Adwords) ads at strategic times. We have accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit, and Instagram, but only post sporadically. We have plenty of pictures available and a decent amount of copy to convey our mission.

In addition to social media, we also write press releases and contact media organizations to get more coverage of our program and events. We would love both newspaper and TV coverage, though we don't have the contacts to get attention.

Finally, if you have the talent/time/interest, we are looking for design help for our promotional signs/videos/brochures.

The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that parents experience during pregnancy and postpartum. PSI headquarters is located in Portland Oregon and has members all over the world, including volunteer coordinators in every one of the United States and in more than 36 other countries. PSI disseminates information and resources through its volunteer coordinators, website and annual conference. Its goal is to provide current information, resources, education, and to advocate for further research and legislation to support perinatal mental health. Dedicated PSI members, leaders, and friends work tirelessly across all levels to meet goals of the shared PSI mission of support, education, advocacy, and research.
