The My Life, Mere Faisle (My Life My Decisions-MLMF) programme in last 5 years, has enabled almost 8,000 young people to take charge of their own lives by wise and collaborative decision making. They have done this through confrontation, empathetic and powerful conversations with their parents, teachers and other adults about education, marriage and career choices. The participants of the programme have inspired others to take charge too. This intervention has been conceptualized and led by Pravah in collaboration with partner organizations since 2015. The intervention looks at the issue of Early and Child marriage and Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights through psycho-social approach and is currently being run by 11 organisations across 7 states of India.
Designing and creating the Chota Muh Khari Baat Campaign compendium (The campaign was an attempt to move the normative needle by challenging the narrative that doubts young people's ability to make informed decisions. It aimed to highlight stories where decisions were made practicing inter-generational dialogue that had positive impact on self, families and communities.)

As Canada's oldest air cadet squadron, we have train approx. 200 young Canadians between the ages of 12 and 18 years every year. Our Squadron Sponsoring Committee is responsible for raising funds to cover aspects of the program not covered by the Department of National Defence. Our committee is seeking individuals to help us with bookkeeping/finances, fundraising activities, and administrative tasks. Anyone with expertise in these areas would be very welcome as one of our volunteers. This is an incredible youth program that offers wonderful and challenging opportunities to participants regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds. As the largest and most diverse cadet unit on the island of Montréal, we have the opportunity to make positive impacts on hundreds of young people, some of whom come from challenging personal situations. We strive to offer a safe space for everyone to achieve their full potential in an environment free from racism, sexism or any other form of discrimination. We have a dedicated staff of 15 CIC Reserve Officers and Civilian Instructors, and a sponsoring committee that offers indirect support for our program.
Volunteers can expect to participate in a monthly committee meeting, with deliverables for each member to be established and carried out on a flexible schedule based on the availability of the volunteers.
