We run corporate volunteer groups in our Tallaght hub on Tuesdays between 10 am and 2 pm.Our main activities are sorting and packing up clothes, nappies, essentials and gift packs; as well as organising buggies and cots for the families we deliver to that week. We help up to 20 families each week and need enthusiastic volunteers to help us prepare mama and baby items.
If you would like to make a real difference for families in need and have some fun in the process (coffee, tea and biscuits are provided), please get in touch with us!
Where possible, we recommend a suggested donation of €25 per participant who comes to our hub, to cover our costs and support our mission. This can be covered by donations of baby items brought with you on the day or by a cash or online donation.
For the list of items needed, or to donate online, please see https://communityconnect.ie/corpvol/

Hi Everyone! I've self taught myself how to use wordpress and get the different themes on there, currently I have it very simple with as many pics without slowing down the webpage speed too much. I need a lot of help but I don't have the eye or expertise for it and I dont know what it needs to be user friendly. If you would like to help make it a better website experience both/either on a desktop and on a mobile device than that would be awesome and truly helpful.Email and google meet is the best way to talk to me, but texting my number also works.

Our Mission:Shop-BOB Cares is a NY State 501(c)(3) organization that is passionately committed to helping extraordinary individuals who are making a positive impact in their local communities. Our mission is to support these individuals in their efforts to move FORWARD and achieve their goals. We do this by connecting them with our extensive network of businesses, providing them with the resources they need to focus on their mission.
Our programs are centered around three core areas: Business Development, Youth Activities, and Youth Employment. Through these programs, we help individuals grow their businesses, create opportunities for young people, and foster a sense of community and collaboration.
At Shop-BOB Cares, we believe that everyone has the potential to make a difference in their community. By supporting those who are already doing so, we hope to inspire others to take action and make a positive impact in their own way.
Programming:
The Youth Positivity Outreach Program (Y.P.O.P.) is an initiative designed to empower young people and promote positive attitudes in the community. These programs are aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 24, who are at a critical stage in their development and are often exposed to negative influences that can affect their self esteem, confidence, and overall well-being. By providing them with tools and resources to build resilience, develop positive relationships, and make positive choices, the program aims to help them become more confident, resilient, and empowered individuals.
The program is run by a team of experienced and passionate professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. Our team includes youth workers, counselors, and volunteers who understand the challenges that young people face and are dedicated to helping them overcome these challenges.
We believe that every young person has the potential to succeed and make a positive contribution to their community. By providing them with the right support and guidance, we can help them unlock their full potential and achieve their goals.
Purpose of the Board Members:
The Board Members plays a crucial role in the success of any program, and Shop-BOB Cares is no exception. Composed of individuals who share a deep commitment to the program's mission and vision, the Board members are passionate, dedicated and entrepreneurial. They volunteer their expertise, connections and time to ensure the successful founding, launch and operations of Shop-BOB Cares. By doing so, they help fulfill the program's mission of making a positive impact on the community. Their contributions are invaluable, and their commitment to the cause is truly inspiring. Do you want to inspire students to reach their goals this season?More than 2,900 middle and high school students in Students Run LA (SRLA) are training alongside their teachers to complete the Los Angeles Marathon in March 2024.
SRLA students are currently in the midst of long marathon training miles and could use a little motivation… that’s where YOU come in!
We are asking supporters to write “Motivational Valentines” to SRLA students, encouraging them to keep moving forward towards the marathon finish line in March as well as the graduation stage in May.
These personal notes mean so much to our students. You can inspire and motivate a student to help them achieve their marathon dreams.
Here’s how to send your Motivational Valentine:
1. Write 1 (or more!) card or letter to a Students Run LA student encouraging them to keep on running! Please do not address these to a certain individual, they will be passed out randomly to students. Here is an example of what your Motivational Valentine might say:
Hi SRLA Runner,
Great job sticking to your training and staying committed during this tough season. You are awesome! Good luck at the marathon. Remember, if you put your mind to it you can do anything!
Keep it Up,
Joe
2. Address your card or letter to the SRLA office:
Students Run LA
5252 Crebs Ave
Tarzana, CA 91356
Mail your letter so it reaches the SRLA Office before February 23rd, 2024***
3. Share your process on social media with the hashtag #SRLALOVE and remember to tag @StudentsRunLA
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Darlene at darlene@srla.org
Students Run LA can't wait to receive & distribute your Motivational Valentines!
*** * If you are mailing cards in a bundle you do NOT need a stamp for each card (just postage for the whole box).
