The Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for creating content that aligns with ONETrack International's mission and philosophy. ONETrack International is a Boston-based not-for-profit charity project that practices Transition to Home orphan-care around the world. We remove orphaned children from their orphanages and place them in the households of biological family members in their communities of birth. ONETrack is currently practicing the Transition to Home orphan-care approach in Cameroon, The Gambia, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Kosovo, Colombia, in Liberia with orphans affected by the Ebola epidemic, in Greece with the refugee population, and in Honduras in communities affected by the "Migrant Caravan" crisis.

We are looking for people who can help us understand how best to disseminate our story so we can fulfill the mission of ONETrack International. In this role, you would be supporting the Media & Marketing division by creating marketing collateral for our organization and, in turn, helping to promote proper orphan-care solutions around the world. Responsibilities may include:
-Producing consistent, cohesive and high-quality design work reflecting ONETrack International's brand voice and style
- Prioritizing and organizing creative requests to meet established deadlines; expect some tight turnarounds
-Creating high-quality materials designed to promote awareness within the broad public regarding ONETrack International's mission and philosophy
- Working under the guidance of the Media & Marketing Director and in collaboration with the entire Media & Marketing team
- Designing and producing a wide variety of marketing materials within parameters of graphic standards and overall organizational priorities. Deliverables can include, publications, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, flyers, advertisements, static and animated digital ads, specialty items and other printed pieces
- Determining the need for photography, illustration, charts, graphs, maps and other elements to enhance the design and to most effectively convey the message
- Preparing complex electronic files for everything from full-color multi-page publications to large transit and vehicle displays
- Resizing and/or reconfiguring content to meet specific requirements for placement in a variety of channels including print, digital, out-of-home, social media, etc.
- Working with the Media & Marketing Director to manage assigned workload, track progress and ensure that projects meet deadlines
- Providing creative feedback on any existing designs or content
- Managing photo archives

We are looking for an experienced graphic designer who can support the communications and fundraising team at WONDER Foundation. We are looking for someone to help us on a voluntary basis with a number of graphic design projects. Title Description: Sponsorship Coordinator (In-Kind Specialist)
Reporting To: Charissa Landicho, Community Outreach and Christina Wong (Fundraising)
Location: Vancouver (or able to commute to Vancouver when needed)
Desired Start Date: February 1, 2021 (Minimum 1-year commitment)
Commitment: 12-15 hours/week (including two 1 hour meetings a week)

Position Summary

The Sponsorship Coordinator (In-Kind Specialist) reports directly to the Community Outreach and is responsible for the major in-kind sponsorship of each Advocacy event (Street Store, Cardboard Project 3.0, Entrepreneur Exhibition) of Employ to Empower. The Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for research, outreach and collection of all sponsorship received. This role will require the individual to attain event-specific sponsorship such as high demand items (male jackets, large backpacks, and blankets), heaters, shopping bags, and a moving truck for The Vancouver Street Store 8.0. The Cardboard Project 3.0 and the Entrepreneur exhibition will require the Sponsorship Coordinator to attain food, door prizes as well as new ideas to add to the quality of the event. This position will also be required to attain organization-specific sponsorship such as print sponsors, “perks” for our volunteers and entrepreneurs. This position has the capacity for growth in terms of welcoming novel sponsorship opportunities that align with the values of the organization as well as engage our attendees to a new level.

The Sponsorship Coordinator will work alongside the Advocacy team to create events that align with our mission: empowering the residents of the DTES with a Hand-up approach, providing a platform to share their strength and resilience, and educating the Vancouver community around the stigmas in the DTES.

Key Responsibilities

-Main contact for cold in-kind products/services ranging from $50-1000
-Ideate, research, contact, and solidify new (cold) sponsorship opportunities for our Advocacy events including but not limited to: Food, door prizes, and items specific to the event (such as shopping bags, hand sanitizer, masks, moving truck, audio and video recording etc)
-Ideate, research, contact, and solidify new (cold) in-kind sponsorship opportunities for Employ to Empower as an organization including but not limited to: Print sponsors, “perks” for our volunteers and/or entrepreneurs (ex: restaurant discounts, massage gift certificates, gift cards to restaurants, social activity gift cards), and specialist mentors/community mentors/course facilitator recruitment (skills-based volunteering)
-Work with Marketing Coordinator to share sponsors on our social media platforms and during the event
-Work with Community Outreach Coordinator and Executive Director to give thank you cards to sponsors
-Working alongside the Advocacy team to create events that align with our mission: empowering the residents of the DTES with a Hand-up approach, providing a platform to share their strength and resilience, and educating the Vancouver community around the stigmas in the DTES.

Our marketing team is evolving to accommodate for growing programs and capacity! Execute marketing campaigns and create content that engages community, encourages social change and upholds the values of Employ to Empower.

Qualifications

Experience with Wordpress and strong writing skills rooted in empathetic communication.
